  BIOGRAPHY:

  Formed in 1995 DESDEMONIA made themselves qickly known by playing a large number of gigs in and around Luxembourg.
  The first gig took place at "DEN ATELIER" (Luxembourg-city) in december 1996 in front of 600 people. Up to then DESDEMONIA made themselves popular by playing a large number of gigs throughout LUXEMBOURG ; BELGIUM ; FRANCE and GERMANY.
  In february 1996 , the first  demo-tape (50 min's) intitled "INFINITY'S REGARD" was released. It got good review's in a lot of magazines and was sold about 300 times.
  After playing together with act's like "DIE KRUPPS" , "RYKER'S"  and "OOMPH!" , we got in touch with AUDIMANIA RECORDS  and got contacts in Belgium allowing us to play  in front of different audiences.
  Early 1998 , we recorded our first auto-produced album "SAME" at AUDIMANIA STUDIOS in Germany.
  The Mastering was done at ELECTRIC CITY STUDIOS ,Brussels ,Belgium where bands  like CHANNEL ZERO were working before.
  Containing 9 tracks/45 min's of true but contemporary death metal , this is one of the rare productions of the luxembourgish metal scene. Stefano left the band end of summer 1998 .A new guitar player was found shortly afterwards in the person of ANDREW MCDONALD.
  Following the  Release of the CD we got oportunities to play with major bands such as APOCALYPTICA (Fin) ,DYING FETUS (USA) ,KRISIUN (Brazil) ,SOILWORK (Swe), ANCIENT CEREMONY (Ger), DERANGED (Swe) ,MORTUARY (France) ,SOUL DEMISE (Ger). With some songs of the album we took part on several samplers like the G.U.C. issue Nr. 12 in Germany and the EXTREME NOISE compilation from Belgium. After Andrew had to leave the band because of studies in England, two local guitarists and friends helped us out to assure our live performences: Patrick "HOFFI" Hoffmann, who plays usualy in the Death Metal band DREAMING IN RED and Manu di Lorenzo, guitar player from the Heavy Metal band SATURATION POINT.(Thanks to both of them).So we played gigs with the wellknown Black Metal band Mayhem in Belgium in the summer of 1999. and with FLESHCRAWL (Ger) and FROZEN ILLUSION (Ger) at the "Exil" in Trier/Germany. We also got the oportunity to play with interesting underground bands called KARKADAN(Ger) and SACRALIS(Ger).

• Then in the spring of 2000, Oli Scheeck (known from BLACK CANDLE) became our new permanent quitar player. We concentated soon on writing new songs and did a first recording in autum 2000 with the rearranged traditional song "Zu Arel Op Der Knippchen", which was released on the PLANET LETZEBUERG-sampler. For the first time ever a Death Metal band reached the TOP 30 of the international charts on RTL. Soon afterwards we could again play with APOCALYPTICA(Fin)  at " den Atelier in front of  1000 people.Christmas 2000 and early 2001 we recorded and mixed our new album "Paralyzed" in Karlsruhe/Germany, which will be out in May 2001
