My Story-The Radio Aahs Webring

My Story

It all started in 1990 in Minneapolis, MN and in 1992 in Orange as the Affiliate AM 830 KPLS Orange/Los Angeles. (Radio Aahs, that is). I started listening after my dad's old girlfriend, Shari, told my dad about a station that her daughter Holly listened to with her kids in Minneapolis and that they have one in California also. And I listened on and off in the middle of 1992. I think it was like the summer. We went to the Drive-In and AM 830 was the station that you had to put on to hear the movies. So I kind of liked that. But the most thing I liked that they actually played Animaniacs music. A station that did that I thought was cool. Animaniacs is one of my favorite cartoons of all time.

So I really liked that. Then I got to know the DJs. And went to my first Aahs event like, now I wish I would have started sooner, in like 1995 at Ice Chalet, another Ice Skating Rink, I saw "Uncle" Joel, (Kid DJs-->) Mara Stringfield, Jennifer Gonzalez, and Ashley McCormack, and I gave them all Animaniacs Valentines. But I didn't start regularly until 1996. When I won Harlem Globetrotter tickets for My 2 sister's, Dad, and I to go to the game and this thing they called a clinic, where you could meet the Globetrotters and get a free t-shirt, they gave me a small one, probably expecting a little kid. Oh well.

I began going regularly in pursuit of my crush a tall, thin, blonde haired blue eyed boy named,R.J. Arnett, which I met that day and the highlight I asked him to sign a Radio Aahs hat my dad won in a drawing they had that my dad gave to me. I also asked him if I could write him and we became pen pals. I also later wrote many of the Airforce Kid DJs. I also met Nicole Antoinette and Erin O'Rourke that day. Also I met the Promotions Director Debra. And so it began...regular, almost every weekend going to Aahs events and the call ins to DJs and many times winning prizes at events and phone call in contests. My love of Radio Aahs and it's people will forever be in my heart. Cool, huh.

So now I started the Radio Aahs Webring as a place for you all to make friends and to share your experiences of All that is Aahs and more...
