Jennifer groaned as she rolled over and picked up the phone. "Whoever you are, you better have a very good reason for calling me this early in the morning," she grumbled.
"Early? It's 9:30 Jen," Lisa, her best friend, laughed.
"What's up with you calling me this early Lis?" Jennifer groaned.
"I need your help Jen. This guy my dad does business with is coming down here to meet with my dad about some deal, and I have to pick him and his family up," Lisa explained.
"His family?" Jennifer asked.
"Well, almost. It's him and his four sons."
Jennifer groaned. "I can just see it now - rugrat hell."
"No, actually, one of them is seventeen and the other three are sixteen," Lisa said.
"Hmm, it's starting to sound interesting. So what exactly am I going to be helping with?" Jennifer asked.
"I want you to come with me to pick them up in Dad's Explorer because I want someone I know there!" Lisa explained.
"And just how are we going to fit seven people in the Explorer? Oh wait, stupid question. Forget I asked," Jennifer said, rolling her eyes at herself.
"Actually Jen, it's just gonna be, you, me and the boys. Their dad's taking a taxi straight to Dad's office," Lisa told her.
"Ah. And just where are we taking these guys?"
"They're staying with me for the next week or so," Lisa answered.
"You know, if they're really ugly, you can come over to my place a lot," Jennifer offered.
"Ha ha Jen. That was so funny I forgot to laugh," Lisa said sarcastically.
"I know, I'm just such a comic relief," Jennifer said jokingly. "Anyway, I'll help. When do you need me to meet you, and where?"
"Thank you so much Jen! Meet at my house in an hour, that way we'll be at the airport in plenty of time on the off chance that their plane is early," Lisa said.
"Okay," Jen yawned. "I'll meet you at your house at 10:30."
"Great! See ya in a bit Jen!" Lisa said.
"Bye Lisa," Jennifer said, hanging up.
