A Summer Never Forgotten: Chapter 8
"So, what movie do you wanna see?" asked Janet as she and JC arrived at the movie theater.

"Well, if you don't mind, I was kinda hoping we could see Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace," JC responded sheepishly.

"Oh, cool! I love that movie, even though I've seen it six times!" cried Janet as she let out a slight laugh.

"Really?!" replied JC, surprised. "I've never met a girl who actually loves Star Wars as much as I do!"

"Well, now you have!" she replied with a smile. JC just smiled back.

"Well then, let us go in and see it, shall we?" said JC as he offered her his arm.

"Why, I'd be delighted," she responded playfully as she linked her arm with his.

"Justin, where are we?!" asked the confused Michelle as Justin stopped the car.

"Ever gone skydiving before?" asked Justin with an evil smile on his face.

"Skydiving?! What the hell?!" cried Michelle, now even more confused.

"Skydiving! You know, when you jump off a plane with a parachute and --" he explained but was cut off by Michelle.

"Justin! I know what it is!" interrupted Michelle.

"Good! Cause that's what we're gonna do!" cried Justin excitedly.

"Are you out of your overly blonde, bleach infested mind?!" cried Michelle loudly.

"Yep! Sure am! Care to join me?" asked Justin as he flashed her a cheesy smile.

"Hell no! And risk losing my sanity?!" responded Michelle.

"Aw! Come on! There's nothing to it!" coaxed Justin. Michelle just gave him a look mixed between confusion, fear, and anxiety. "Pleeeeeeeease?" begged Justin with an innocent/pitiful look on his face as he began to tug her arm like a little baby.

"Sorry babe! I have no intention to jump from a plane 30,000 feet in the air with nothing but a parachute!" replied Michelle.

"Michelle, where's your sense of adventure?!" asked Justin. Michelle just folded her arms across her chest and looked away from Justin. "Wait a minute, you're not chicken, are you?!" asked Justin as if being a chicken were a sin.

"I am NOT a damn chicken, thank you very much!" she replied, slightly angry.

"Then why are you so scared to go skydiving with me?" he asked.

"I'm not scared. Who says I'm scared?! I just don't wanna wind up in the hospital after a parachute failure. I mean, what if the plane runs out of gas and we fall and crash? Or what if our parachutes didn't work? Or what if the pilot suddenly passed out while our plane was in the middle of the air and-" she was cut off by Justin.

"Whoa, Michelle! Calm down! Damn!" interrupted Justin, a little shocked at how frantic Michelle was.

"Oh, sorry! I guess I got kinda carried away there, eh?" she replied sheepishly.

"Yeah, a little bit. But hey, if you really don't wanna do this, then I understand," he replied sincerely. Michelle sat quiet for a moment before she began to respond.

"Ah, what the hell! I'll be daring for a day!" she cried.

"Woohoo!" cheered Justin happily.

*********************

"Yes! They're using the light sabers!" Janet cheered quietly in her seat.

"Are they that fascinating to you?!" asked JC.

"Well, yeah! I just LOVE the light sabers in the fighting scenes! They're awesome!" replied Janet. JC just laughed as he put his arm around Janet.

"What's so funny?" asked Janet once she heard JC laugh.

"Oh, nothing," he replied unconvincingly.

"Come on, tell me!" she pleaded to him.

"Really, it's nothing," he answered her, still begin unconvincing. Janet just gave him a look that said 'Oh puh-lease! Like I'm really gonna fall for that!' "OK, OK. I just thought it was cute the way you got all excited over something like light sabers, that's all," JC responded sheepishly. Janet just sat there blushing.

"Um, thanks, I think," she replied, unsure of what to say.

*********************

"Are you nervous?" asked Justin as he looked down to the earth from the plane.

"I'm beyond nervous! Why did I ever agree to do this?" she cried, more to herself than to Justin.

"Well, don't worry, cause I'll be right behind ya," he replied.

"Behind me?! Uh uh, I don't think so! You're going first!" she replied firmly.

"OK, OK, I'll go first! Ya happy?" asked Justin.

"Yep!" cried Michelle happily as she gave him a cheesy smile.

"Alright, we're ready to jump! Who's going first?" asked the pilot.

"I am," responded Justin nervously.

"Alrighty! Ya ready?" asked the pilot.

"As ready as I'll ever be," he responded. "I'll see you once we're down, OK?" he asked Michelle.

"OK, have fun!" said Michelle.

"AAAAHHHH!!! I waaaant myy mommmmmyyyyy!" Justin yelled as he dropped through the air. Michelle laughed hysterically once she heard Justin yell for his mommy.

"Are you ready to jump now?" asked the pilot to Michelle.

"Yeah," she replied. "Well, here goes nothing!" she cried as she jumped out of the plane and into the air. "WOOOHOOO!!" she yelled as she dropped through the air.

**Back on earth...**

"Did you enjoy the movie?" asked JC as he and Janet walked towards the cab.

"Yep! I've officialy watched it seven times now!" cried Janet happily. JC just laughed in response.

"Where to?" asked the cab driver.

"Do you wanna go back to the hotel or do something else?" asked JC to Janet.

"Let's just go back to the hotel. Is that alright?" asked JC to Janet.

"Sure," replied JC. "Can you take us to the Hyatt Hotel please?" asked JC to the cab driver.

"Sure thing," replied the driver as he began to take off.

*********************

"Wow! That was awesome!" cried Michelle as she walked with Justin towards the car.

"Tell me about it!" agreed Justin.

"Were you scared?" asked Michelle.

"Why?" asked Justin, trying to hide his nervousness.

"Well, I just thought that since you yelled for your mommy while you were flying down through the sky, that-"

"Oh no! You heard that?!" asked Justin worriedly as he began to blush heavily.

"How could I not?! You were screaming louder than I was!" responded Michelle as she giggled.

"Please don't tell the guys! I'll never hear the end of it from them," he begged.

"Well, I don't know..." she trailed off, trying to make Justin panic.

"Please! I'm begging you! It's embarrassing enough as it is!" he begged some more.

"I'll think about it!" she replied as she stuck her tongue out at him.

"Come on, please?! I'll do anything!" he pleaded.

"Anything, eh?" she said as she began to ponder with a devious smile on her face.
