Midnite Dreamerz: Chapter 3
The guys of *N Sync sat in the chairs around the TV screen which was turned to MTV, watching Midnite Dreamerz perform. Justin and JC whistled as Jessica and Kelli simultaneously performed a back walkover into back layout combination on opposite sides of the stage while Lauren sang her verse.

"These girls are really good," Lance said, his eyes following Lauren's every move.

"Yeah, they dance better than you Lance!" Chris snickered.

Lance rolled his eyes. "Ha ha, very, funny," he said dryly.

"I thought so," Chris said proudly.

"I wonder who their choreographer is," JC mused. "They've got some pretty awesome moves."

Justin nodded. "Some of their moves could be transferred to our songs without changing them at all."

"Ouch!" Joey whimpered as the song ended with all five girls going down into a full split.

"That hurts just to watch it!" Lance said with a wince.

The show went to a commercial, then came back to show the girls standing on one side of a blank TV and Carson standing on the other. "Well, before we debut their video for 'Castles In The Sky' we'll have them introduce themselves and tell their ages, then you'll get to ask them some questions. Sound good?" Carson asked.

"Yeah!" the crowd screamed.

Jessica stepped forward. "Well, I'm Jessica Blackburn and I'm the baby of the group. I'm 17."

Lauren stepped forward as Jessica stepped backward. "I'm Lauren Markson and I'm the second youngest of the group. I'm 18."

"I'm Kristen Caster and I'm the middle Dreamer. I'm 20," Kristen introduced herself with a wide grin.

"I'm Kelli Anderson and I'm the second oldest at 21. I'm also Jessica's cousin."

"I'm Caitlin Hagedorn and I'm the old lady of the group! I'm 23."

"Well that takes care of the introductions, so now each girl will pick a member of the audience to ask a question, then we'll show their video," Carson said.

Jessica pointed to a girl in the very back and motioned for her to come forward to the microphone. "What's your name and question?" she asked, smiling at the girl who looked to be about eleven or twelve.

"My name's Francine and I was wondering what your favorite colors are?"

"Well, my favorite color is..." Jessica started.

"Blue!" her four bandmates yelled.

Jessica stuck her tongue out at them as they laughed, then turned back to Francine. "As my bandmates so rudely yelled out there, my favorite color is blue."

"My favorite color is red," Lauren said.

"Mine's orange," Kelli said.

"Mine's either silver or green," Caitlin said.

"I'm the weird one! My fav color is khaki! Naw, I'm just playing. It's lavendar actually," Kristen said.

Kelli pointed to another girl to ask her question. "My name's Alyssa and I was wondering what your favorite singers and groups are?"

"I like *N Sync (crowd screams), Five, Offspring, TLC, and Jay-Z," Jessica said.

"I'm more the country person. I like Garth Brooks, Shania Twain and Our Lady Peace," Lauren said.

"I like everything," Kelli shrugged.

"I'm a pop music freak. Need I say more?" Kristen grinned.

"I like Busta Rhymes, Boyz II Men, and Timbaland and Magoo," Caitlin said.

"My turn!" Lauren cried and pointed to a guy in the front row who looked about eighteen or nineteen.

"My name's Mark and I was wondering if you girls would ever date a fan?"

"Of course," they all replied.

Kelli elaborated, "I mean, think about it. Why would an artist go out with someone who doesn't like their music?"

Kristen pointed to another guy who looked about nineteen or twenty. "My name's Brendan and I was wondering what your favorite sports are?"

"Basketball and running," Jessica replied immediately.

"Jetskiing and wakeboarding," Lauren said.

"To play - basketball and soccer. To watch - football," Caitlin answered.

"Basketball and volleyball," Kelli replied.

"Does flirting count as a sport?" Kristen asked. Everybody snickered and Brendan shook his head. "No? Well, basketball then."

Caitlin pointed to a guy in the middle. "My name's Ryan and I was wondering if any of you had boyfriends?"

"Nope," all the girls answered with pouts.

"We're too busy to date," Caitlin explained.

"It bites!" Kristen whimpered.

"Well, that's it for the questions and now it's time for the video!" Carson said. He showed the video and thanked them for being on the show.

The girls said their goodbyes and walked offstage.

"Good job girls," JC said as they came back in the room.

"Thanks!" Kelli called to him as *N Sync walked out onstage.

Midnite Dreamerz walked out of the MTV studio to meet with their manager to discuss their new tour information.
