The B/W Pics on this page are from the first photo shoot with the Gargoyles. Of all the bands I have photographed, The Gargoyles are without a doubt one of the greatest bands to do work with. I'll tell you why. They had it together from start to finish. They had the Vision of how they wanted the pictures to look, where we were gonna shoot, and an all around feel to what they wanted to get across.
On top of that they were a "Great" live band , with high energy and a groovie sound. The line-up on this page consisted of Julia Alstatt (the first member I met) , playin some of the meanest bass riffs I had ever seen, Lisa Lombardo and Doug Heeschen on the screechin 6-string guitars, Brain Tyranny poundin the beat on the skins. Out front , and leading the pack as only he could do was Tim Storm.
Considering I had taken a trip thru the Psychedelic Jungle with my friend Ellis Dee , the night before, and still experiencing "Voices Green & Purple " at 10 am when we did the shoot, the pictures turned out ok. At least cool enuff to do a calendar for the whole year and go on thier first 12"e.p. titled "Down on You" on Shakin Street Records. Stay tuned for more Gargoyles info when I get the chance to continue.
