chapter seventeen

Lauren and LS sat for awhile before Lauren started to talk. When she did, she looked like she had been run over by a semi. LS used her right hand to rub Lauren's back as she talked.

"Ok..." Lauren started. "We were standing in the autograph line, and we started to see the Moffatts walking away and we were like right there and they were just walking away! I was like "F*ck! Don't leave! And I was looking for my camera in my bag and Kel had my sign and when I looked up when I had my camera, she was being pulled by the arm by Scott! I mean, he just took her! Just like that! I was screaming over all the noise to her and she was yelling something back, but..."Lauren was looking at the ground. "She just left." Lauren started to tear up again.

LS tried to comfort her. "I'm sorry, Lauren."

Lauren was angry. "I mean, she knows I like Scott and she went anyway!"

LS couldn't believe what she was hearing. Shouldn't this girl be happy for her friend, instead of pissed at her? "Well...maybe he had a hold on her and she couldn't get away..." LS suggested.

Lauren looked at her through watery eyes. "That's horse sh*t, LS and you know it." But LS didn't know it. In fact, she thought that Kel was a caring person and wouldn't just do that to Lauren. But when it comes to guys, friends can be pretty mean.

LS perked up. "Let's go for a walk around, shall we? I mean, you can't just sit around feeling sorry for yourself. Or, we could go to my house and write a fan fiction story about how the Moffatts are scum." LS smiled.

Lauren wiped her eyes and smiled at LS. "How come I've never met you before now if you live in Billerica too?" Lauren asked.

"I'm home schooled and I don't get out much." Lauren and LS giggled a little.

Lauren looked at her shoes. "I think I'd like to go to your house, if it's alright." She said to LS.

My mom's not home, so we'll just be you and me to talk about how guys suck c*ck and are dirt bags, ok?" LS smiled.

Lauren nodded. "Okay."

Scott stood looking at his younger brother, who was looking with hate into his. Scott backed up and Kel did too. He rarely saw Bob like this.

"What are you talking about, Bob?" Scott asked. He didn't know Bob was sweet on Kel. They saw thousands of fans everyday, and they only talked to them for like two seconds each, if that, and never brought them back and kissed them. He couldn't figure out why Bob was so mad.

"How'd you know, Scott? How the F*CK did you know?" Bob growled. Kel was confused and scared of Bob because of the evil look in his eyes.

Scott still had no clue what he was talking about. He didn't even know if it had anything to do with Kel. "Bob, what is your problem?"

Bob shoved Scott's shoulders, pushing him back into Kel, who almost fell over. "You wanna explain her?" Bob said evilly.

"You're the one who said I should get a girlfriend!" Scott yelled in his brother's face.

"Yeah, Dickhead, but not her!" Bob yelled.

"What about her?!?!" Scott was getting extremely mad.

"How'd you know, man?" Bob was more sad than upset now. He sounded choked up [really sad]. Bob turned and ran back to the bus, hopped on and pounded the "close door" button.

Scott turned around to Kel. She seemed frightened. "Scott..." She gave him a questioning look.

Scott wished he could give her an answer, but he couldn't. "I have no idea what that was about. Honest, Kellyn...Kel..." He corrected himself. "I swear."

"How did you know what?" Kel asked.

"I don't know. I think it's best if I go onto the bus and find out what's going on. Maybe you should wait out here." Scott suggested. He hated to see her like this, scared and all. It was all Bob's fault and he was not going to let him get away with it. Scott gave Kel a gentle kiss on her cheek and ran to the bus, getting on. Kel touched her cheek and walked back silently to the front of the bus where the headlight was. She wondered about Lauren. She hoped she wouldn't be mad at her.
