"Hi!" The girl said, startling Scott a little.
Scott just smiled. He didn't have the courage to say anything. Instead, he took the picture out of the girl's hand. She gave him a mean look.
"Do you want me to sign this?" Scott asked, his hand in midair.
The girl's face untensed and it appeared that she was nervous. "Yeah." She said finally.
Scott smiled charmingly. He handed the picture back to her after he signed it. "Ok cool."
Scott watched the girl walk to the side and wait for her friend. Desperately wanting to talk to her, Scott contained himself. Although he didn't understand why she walked behind him and his brothers through the doors that led to where their bus was parked. Scott figured they had parked somewhere back there or something. He let it go.
Just then, Clint's words rang in Scott's ears. "Get another one. Pick one. Get another one. Pick one." Scott realized he wanted her. He whipped his head around and searched for the girl, but she had disappeared into the blackness of the bus area.
Scott let it go. He decided that if he saw her, he saw her. If not, oh well.
After about another hour, just as the autograph line was finishing up, Scott was getting restless. The girl still hadn't returned inside. Scott glanced down and saw there couldn't be more than fifteen people left. When about seven stepped out of line, being parents, etc; Scott was relieved. His hand had cramped up and he was ready to go to the bus and relax.
As the last person, smiled and took a picture, Scott smiled and then sighed. Yet another autograph line was over.
All four guys stood up and looked at Sheila with pained expressions. Sheila gave a quick laugh and smiled sympathetically. Sheila waved her hand, signalling to the guys they didn't have to help her pack up the merchandise this time; they could go straight back to the bus and she and Frank would take care of suitcases and everything else.
All four brothers let out their breath and hugged Sheila; thanking her. Sheila smiled and went about her business.
Scott was in the lead, heading towards the three sets of glass double-doors. He pushed one open and held it until Bob, who was behind him, had a hold of the door also. Scott walked quietly in the darkness, with his brothers behind him. He looked back at Bob, Clint, and Dave, who were all out now and following him to the bus that was a few yards in front of them. They could barely see it; they could only see a glimmer off the door because of the light from the building.
Picking up his pace, thinking about getting into his bunk and sleeping, Scott hurried. His brothers, in turn, also picked up their pace.
As Scott thought about his nice warm bunk, he suddenly ran into something. "Holy F*CK!" Scott yelled as he tried desperately to balance himself.
All four brothers halted and they heard a girl yell as Scott did.
The guys were confused. Who was that?
