Frank looked at Sheila. They both knew what this was about. Frank put his hands on his
hips. “Guys, we were just in Billerica. Why do you want to go back?” Sheila didn’t
say anything when she realized Frank just wanted to hear the guys say it themselves.
Scott looked at Bob and Clint and likewise for the other two brothers. Dave was
confused; he was a little slow.
Scott shrugged. “It’s a nice place. I’d like to go back.” Clint and Bob remained silent.
”Well I want to go to New York City.” Dave added. Clint, Bob, and Scott all gave Dave a
glare.
”No one cares what you think, dork.” Clint said and tried to think of some good
explanation of why him and his brothers wanted to go back to Billerica. All three knew that
if they said it was because of Kel, it would be a definite ‘no’.
”I guess just because we never got to go to that beautiful beach we saw on those
postcards in the gift shop in the park.” Bob offered.
Scott looked at Bob like ‘nice one, idiot’ sarcastically.
”What beach?” Dave asked. He still hadn’t caught on.
Clint kicked Dave from where he could reach with his foot.
”Ow!”
”Shut up.”
”Guys, why don’t you just stay here for awhile. Then we could get to know you better.”
Julie said.
Clint, Scott, and Bob didn’t care to stay in Boston though. They wanted to see Kel. Clint
didn’t really want to see her, he just thought it was a lot of fun to watch his brothers argue
over a girl.
Ashley didn’t say anything. She couldn’t understand why at least Clint wasn’t defending
them staying. She thought he liked her.
Suddenly Julie and Ashley felt uncomfortable and out of place. “Um, maybe I should
call my mom...” Ashley suggested, finally speaking up.
”No, don’t do that. We’ll take you home, Ashley.” Sheila said kindly and waited for her
stepsons to decide where their vacation would be spent. Usually they all had different
places they wanted to go. This time it looked like Sheila and Frank couldn’t escape the fact
that their sons wanted to see a girl.
Ashley was silent again and Julie shifted akwardly. None of the guys noticed this; they
were too busy thinking of non-girl related reason to back to Billerica.
Frank sighed. “Well then I guess we have no choice.” Then, relieving the guys, he said,
“Billerica it is.” Frank uncrossed his arms and walked down the stairs of the bus and
outside, while Sheila followed.
Clint, Bob, and Scott all smiled at each other. Dave was upset. “Geez! Why can’t we go
anywhere good?!”
”Shut up, D. I’m going to see Kel!” Scott said, excitedly, forgetting Julie until she
cleared her throat loudly.
Scott turned his head quickly to where Julie was sitting. She looked confused and sad.
“Scott, who really is Kel? What aren’t you telling me?”
