Sensing a long talk coming on, Clint took Ashley’s hand and led her outside to talk. Dave
and Bob knew they should leave too, and did so, hoping to find something to do around the
venue.
Scott climbed down from his bunk and motioned for Julie to do the same. She did, and
followed Scott back into the back of the bus, where both sat down on the floor.
When they were both silent, though, Scott did not explain. He repositioned himself so
he was right next to Julie. “What exactly do you think of me?” Scott asked, looking down at
his hands folded in his lap.
Julie was surprised by his question. “What do you mean, Scott. Like, as a star, as a
friend, as a hot guy, as what?”
Scott shrugged. “All around. Now that you’ve spent some time with me.” He still didn’t
look at her.
Julie thought about it for a second. “Well, Scott, you’re great. I mean, you’re funny,
cute, a lot more than I thought you were when I just saw you in magazines and on TV and
stuff...now you’re this guy that I like a lot and...you’re a fantastic singer. I mean, no one
compares to you....”
Scott was waiting for that. He could lure her in once he heard that. Without delay and
without letting her finish, Scott put his arm around her middle and moved in closer to her.
She smiled and looked in his eyes. He smiled too and started twirling his fingers in her hair.
“You’re beautiful, Julie.” Scott said in almost a whisper. Julie was enjoying the moment.
She didn’t ever expect Scott Moffatt to be whispering sweet nothings in her ear and playing
with her hair. It was almost too good to be true. But it was true, and it was happening. And
she didn’t want it to stop.
A Cappella Scott started, “Girl I’ve been watching you. Wondering, what’s your name?
and could I get ya? I’m hoping that you feel the same, baby, what’s on your mind?”
Julie couldn’t help but grin. This was her favorite Moffatt song. She let herself lean into
Scott and have his soft voice fill her ears. He continued once her body was snuggled next to
his.
”Darling don’t you know it’s the perfect time. You know I’m gonna make you mine...”
”Scott?”
”Yeah?” He replied.
She didn’t say anything. She just liked to say his name. “I’m still sleepy.” She finally
said.
Scott looked at her, even though she couldn’t see. All she could see was the fabric of his
shirt. “Well then why don’t we just lay back here...” Scott said and grabbed a chair pillow
and layed it behind him and Julie and layed down slowly. Julie did too.
The two looked at the ceiling of the bus. “I like you a lot, Scott.” Julie said after a few
silent moments. Scott turned towards Julie.
”I like you too, Julie.” Scott said and smiled. Julie smiled too.
Without another word, the two found themselves closer and closer. Finally, closing
their eyes, their lips touched. It was happening again. Julie’s entire body was crying out for
more, and typical teenage guy Scott wasn’t going to stop until she told him to.
Crawling somewhat up halfway on top of her but still at her side, Scott leaned down and
kissed her again. He reached his hand till it met her shining brown hair and caressed it
softly. He let his other hand find the curve of her back against the carpet. Julie leaned up
slightly and allowed Scott to search her. Continuing to kiss her, Scott felt Julie start
to tremble. Not with fear, but with anxiety.
He opened his eyes and she did when he started to whisper. “Are you okay with this?”
He asked sensitively. She nodded and then waited a second and shook her head.
”No.”
