The bus driver got on the bus and told the Moffatt family that he was going to leave as soon as he got the engine started and be prepared to go.
Frank explained to the boys that their equipment would go to their storage building in Calgary, Alberta.
Almost as soon as the bus started up it was going, turning onto the Boston highway.
"Frank!" The bus driver called. Frank appeared in the driver part.
"Yeah?"
"You want me to go back to the same place we came from?" Larry, the bus driver, asked.
"That's right."
Scott listened to his dad and his bus driver from his bunk and listened to his brothers in the back room with Sheila. He realized Julie still had his clothes on. "----!!!!!!" She had on one of his favorite shirts. And he would probably never get it back now. Well, he figured, at least in a few hours or in the next few days he would be able to see Kel. Feeling mean, he decided he would make her beg to come back to him.
Kel and her mom remained silent as they sped down the highway. Kel could think of a million places she would rather be than on the road to Boston with her mom. She missed Scott, and was mad at herself for pushing him away. Mrs. Archer noticed the look on her daughter's face.
"Kellyn, I'm sorry I didn't tell you..." Mrs. Archer tried to apologize.
"I'm not upset about that anymore, Mom. I don't care what happened, it's like I don't even know you. I'm not thinking about you, don't flatter yourself." Kel said with an attitude.
Normally Mrs. Archer would yell at Kel for talking to her like that, but she decided to let it go.
Kel looked out through the windshield at a bus going the opposite direction a few roads over. "I'm hallucinating." Kel said to herself, convincing herself she did not see the Moffatts tour bus.
"What?" Mrs. Archer asked.
"Nothing."
