Kellyn watched as her mother's face as they pulled into the Holiday Inn parking lot. Her mom was anxiously searching for Kel's dad's car. She obviously didn't see it because she started panicking.

"Mom? Calm down." Kel said.

"Kellyn!" Mrs. Archer said more snappy than she meant.

Kel was quiet until she saw a dark haired man that had some of the same features as she did climbing out of a black hummer.

"Echk!!!" was the only sound Kel made. She had never seen a hummer in real life and she wanted one so badly. The man who had just gotten out smiled and waved when he saw Kel and her mom pull in two spots away from the hummer.

The man took the sidewalk next to the hotel to right in front of Mrs. Archer's car. Kel took a deep breath and started to open the door. "Is that him?" Kel asked her mom. She knew it was, but she found it hard to believe that her dad was driving a hummer.

"That's him." Mrs. Archer replied and the two climbed out of the car.

Immediately, Mr. Archer looked Kel up and down. "Kellyn! My princess!" He walked quickly over to her and put his arms out for a hug. He hugged her but she stood with her arms by her sides. He pulled back with a huge grin. "What, no hug for your old dad?"

"Oh, you mean the dad that walked out? The dad that has done nothing but ignore me for the past 6, 7 years? Face it--you're a stranger." Kel said flat-out.
