Once inside the house, she hurried up to her room to call Lauren. She carefully dialed the seven digits and listened while it rang.
Lauren was washing her hair when the phone rang. She hurried and picked it up, then rushed back into the bathroom where she had forgot her towel.
"Hello?" She said as she fixed her hair on top of her head with the towel around it.
"Hey, Laur, it's Kel." Kel said.
"Oh! Hey! What's up?" Lauren said, flicking the bathroom light switch down and walking into her own room.
"There is a guy who looks just like Scott Moffatt running around Billerica! I saw him going through the drive-thru today. And I mean this guy had the cutest little Canadian--I think it was Canadian--accent you've ever heard." Kel said in pretty much one breath.
"Well, Kellyn, maybe it was Scott. I mean, hello he's Canadian and they are doing a show here!" Lauren said. She wasn't serious.
"Are you serious? You really think so?" Kel asked.
"No." Lauren giggled. "But if there is a guy around here that looks like Scott I'm gonna find him!" The two laughed.
"When is that concert again?" Kel asked. She forgot what Lauren had told her.
"Next week! I can't wait! It's weird though, usually I'm all excited a week before the show." She giggled. "Well, I suppose I'll be all excited tomorrow. I don't think the reality has sunk in yet."
Kel agreed. "I can't believe we've only liked them for a week or so and already we get to see them in concert."
"Yeah I know, isn't it great?" Lauren said. "Ya know what, I have to go. Abby and Alex are getting on my case about supper." Lauren finished, referring to her little twin sisters.
"Alright. Just one more question--When do you figure the Moffatts are going to be in town?" Kel asked.
"I don't know. They're probably super-busy with a tour or something and can't come in until the day of the show." Lauren said. Kel said OK and they hung up.
"I say we go do something. I mean, this sitting around is like watching ice melt. Why did we have to come to Billerica a week before the frickin' show?" Scott complained.
"Wanna go bowling?" Dave suggested.
"Nah. Wanna go see a movie? Tingle is out." Scott said.
"Tingle?"
"Dave, I think all this sitting around is affecting your brain. Teaching Mrs. Tingle, the movie that we're on the soundtrack of." Scott informed.
Dave nodded. "Oh yeah. I don't really wan't to see that."
"Okay..." Scott was plum out of ideas.
"Let's walk. I mean, if we just walk around some of these house division things we're bound to find someone to hang out with." Dave suggested. Scott figured he was referring to girls, so he agreed.
Dave stuck his head in the bus. When he saw Clint heading to his bunk, he called for him. "Clint, ya wanna go for a walk with me and Scott?" He asked.
Clint looked at Dave and then at his bunk. "No thanks, D." Clint said and removed his shirt and pants and climbed into his bunk with his boxers on. Dave shrugged.
Figuring Bob wouldn't want to go either, Dave returned outside to see Scott picking at his fingernails waiting for Dave. "Let's go." Dave said and they were on their way.
The two guys decided to check out some of the house divisions to see if there was any life outside. They saw some little kids playing in a miniature pool, but that was pretty much it. They decided to keep walking around the houses in Billerica until they found some people [girls] to hang out with.
When she got outside, she decided she wanted some music. She hurried back inside and took her smaller CD player and Beatles CD outside on her front lawn. She put it on "Sargeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" because she had an urge to listen to it.
As it came on, she smiled and laid back on her back and closed her eyes and listened to the silly song.
Just as the song had like thirty seconds left, Kel felt somebody watching her. She opened her eyes and propped herself up on her elbows. She almost had a heart attack.
