"OH MY GOSH KEL TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!" Lauren almost yelled.
Kel stood up from crouching and looked at her best friend and smiled. The concert was in less than four hours and neither Kel nor Lauren could wait. "A little excited, huh Lauren?"
"Excited doesn't even explain it! Oh my gosh, tonight, Kel! Scott Moffatt...tonight..." Lauren was exhausted. Kel guessed she had run all the way to Kel's house from her own, just over two streets.
"What are you gonna do if we get to meet them?" Kel asked, sitting on her bed.
Lauren looked wide-eyed at Kel. "I don't know! Probably pass out." Lauren smiled.
The two giggled and Kel finished fixing herself up. The decided to get there about three and a half hours before the performance, just in case they could go backstage or something.
The four Moffatt brothers awoke with a start as a bright light was turned on above their bunks. The all squinted and pulled back their curtains to reveal Frank.
"Alright, guys. Time to get up. You have a sound check in half an hour." The guys' dad said.
Dave, Scott, and Bob all quickly hopped out of their bunks and to their in-the-wall dressers. Clint rolled over and shut his curtain. When Bob noticed, he pulled Clint's curtain back and smacked his brother's face. "Get up." Bob said and continued to paw through the drawers for his white wife-beater.
Standing around in their boxers, the guys were startled when Sheila pulled back the "bedroom" curtain and told Clint to hussle, since he was always late. "I'm coming..." Clint mumbled and slid off his bed tiredly.
Bob hopped into his gray corduroys and and white wife-beater, while Dave managed to unwrinkle his olive green over-shirt over top of a fresh white tshirt.
Scott, in the other room, pawed through the stack of clean clothes and found his favorite blue dress shirt and went into the bathroom to find his Elvis tie.
Clint, still half sleeping, carefully unfolded his black tank top and red Hawaiian shirt from the neat suitcase located under Dave's bunk.
Ten minutes after the guys were done getting ready, Sheila popped her head in.
"Let's go let's go let's go." She said and disappeared again.
The guys headed out of the bus and looked around. There were a few fans about a quarter mile behind a fence waiting for the sound check. Scott flipped his orange hat on backwards and and sat down at the end of the stage, letting his feet dangle. Dave sat by his keyboards, looking half-dead. Clint and Bob were nowhere to be seen. Bob was looking for his drummer gloves and Clint was just slow.
"SSSSCCCCOOOOOTTTTTTTTTT!!!!" Twenty girls screamed from behind the fence.
Hearing that, Scott smiled and waved. He always found that rather cute.
"DDDDDAAAAAAAVVVVVVEEEEEE!!!!" The screams came again. Dave didn't hear them but Scott did. He turned to his deaf brother.
"They're calling you, D." Scott smiled.
Dave cocked his head up and waved. The girls screamed and the two boys saw at least ten flashes go off, even though it was just after afternoon.
"Looks like we have quite the fans tonight, D." Scott smiled and stood up as Bob entered the stage.
