Flip Kowlier singer songwriter from Belgium

After two successful hip hop albums with Flemish rappers "'t Hof van Commerce", frontman Flip Kowlier decided to go solo, and retreated into the recording studio. On the album in which the sessions resulted ("Ocharme Ik") Flip Kowlier shows off his talents and his experience of two years of playing and writing. The album became a tender and sensible masterpiece, on which he seems to have forgotten all about hip hop. Playing on his acoustic guitar he turned out to be "a neo-folk singer", as a Belgian journalist puts it. The only link with his previous work is the use of the local Westflemish dialect. The song "Welgemeende Fuck You" ("A Fuck You from the Heart") is slowly becoming a trademark for his album, and has some success in Belgium.
