Maus indie rock from Iceland

my opinion:

"With its infectious swirling strings and anthemic chorus, Maus' current single "How Far Is Too Far?" is more Richard Ashcroft than Robert Smith or Simon Le Bon" (Dazed and Confused, september 2000).

Maus have toured Scandinavia twice and created much interest around their live shows, which led them to play one of the most prestigious events of the year, the CMJ festival (2000) in New York, who in turn called them "Icelandic popsters making it big and pretty". Maus have also recently supported Coldplay on their recent visit to Iceland in a 5,000 capacity venue.

Maus are planning to record their next album in Germany in January 2002 and are currently being courted by a major record label in Europe. They are also planning a follow-up European tour to promote their next record.
