Sloan in the Movies

It seems our Nova Scotian Boys aren't Losing California after all (groans)! Sloan's music and likeness has appeared in several movies and TV shows. Here are a few of my spottings.

The Virgin Suicides
This film is the directorial debut of daughter of Francis Ford Coppola, (and wife of Spike Jonze), Sophia Coppola. It's set in the 1970's and is about five sisters who commit suicide. The song featured on the soundtrack is Everything You've Done Wrong. The movie also features clips of quite afew Sloan songs, circa Navy Blues and OCTA. Sloan apperantly got on to the soundtrack because Sophia saw Mike Nelson on a plane and mentioned how much she loved Sloan, and asked if she could include some of their songs in her movie. (I'm not quite sure on the details, but this is pretty much what I gather happened.)
Twitch City
A very short appearance, but an appearance none the less! The boys were on the critically aclaimed cult hit, Twitch City, for about 10 seconds! They were in an episode called Klan Bake as neo-nazis! They basically sat on a couch and watched a tape of the Rex Reid show where the head nazi was exposed as a complete weiner.
New Waterford Girl
I'm not quite 100% on this but my mom told me (and I believe her. What? You think my mom's gonna lie to me?) That The Good in Everyone is featured in the trailler. It make's sense, it take's place in Cape Bretton Island in the 70's!
Loser
This movie stars the chick from American Beauty (MENA SUVARI) and the dude from American Pie (JASON BIGGS) and is directed by the, uh, director of Clueless (AMY HECKERLING). It's about a dork and a street wise city girl who fall in love. The movie is set in college, you see the Loser's "pot-smoking, girl- chasing [and apperantly Sloan lovin'] roommates hate him." This film was shot in Toronto, so it makes sense! I'm not crazy, I have evidence, check out this frames from the trailer.
