I Do As I looked out over the little crowd that we had invited to the most important day of our lives, our wedding. I met Howie at a club and we just clicked. We both loved music and I love the fact that his job was singing for people, yes sometimes it would annoy me when we would try to have a romantic dinner at a restraunt and fans would find it and take pictures but I got over it and that doesn't really matter now cause today is the day where I become Mrs. Howard Dwaine Dorough. It was the best feeling in the would the minister brought me back to earth when he started askingme that long question even though he and I knew what our answers would be. "Do you McKayla Joy Craddok take Howard Dwaine Dorough as your lawfully wedded husband through sickness and in health, for richer or poorer as long as you both shall live?"  "I do," I said as I looked into my future Husband's eyes. Today was the best day of my 24 years of life. Then the minister brought me back to earth as he said "I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride."  As he said that Howie lifted my veil and moved closer and we both shared this very passionate kiss. "I love you Mrs. Dorough." Whispered Howie into my ear. "I love you to." I said as the minister presented us to the VERY small crowd. "I now present to you Mr. And Mrs. Howard Dwaine Dorough" when he finished we both turned around and started up the hill. As we started back up the hill we heard someone yell: "Get down he's got a gun!" but by the time we realized what was happening it was to late he fired about 13 shots and I felt a sharp pain in my leg and in my chest. Then both Howie and I fell to the ground and I cried out in pain, then everything went black. "Someone call an ambulance!" yelled Kevin as he and the rest of the guys with almost everyone else ran over to us. "Howie open your eyes!" said A.J. as he and Nick tried to get him to open his eyes. "Howie, come on D open your eyes." Said Nick, then he did. "Where is Mikki?" asked Howie. "She is over there she is fine. Even though A.J. knew that I wasn't fine, he had heard Kevin and Brian try to get me to open my eyes and I just couldn't.  "Mikki open your eyes!" said Brian as he and Kevin shared worried glances. "Move aside," said one of the medics as he and his partner moved closer to me. "What is her name?" asked the other one. "McKayla but everyone calls her Mikki" "Ok Mikki open your eyes, come on work with us here." Said one of them while the other one was taking my pulse. Then after about 3 min. they had me on a backboard and onto a stretcher and about to take me up the hill when I opened my eyes. "Brian, what happened" I whispered. "Just lie still don't try to talk." Said Brian with sympathy or something in his eyes.  "Brian please just tell him that I love him and I love you and the other guys to please just please promise me that you will tell them."  "Mikki don't talk like that, you'll make it." Said Brian as he hopped into the back of the ambulance with the paramedic. "Brian just promise me I cant hold on it hurts to much, I cant breath just please promise me."  "Mikki I promise but you will be the one who tells Howie cause you are going to make it."  "Just tell him I love him and that I will always be in his heart wherever he is. And thank you and the rest of the guys for their love and support I love you."   Then I fell into a deep coma and I wouldn't wake up. They pronounced me dead after about 5 hours in the hospital. In Howie's Room "Mr. Dorough?"  "Yes that's me," said Howie as a doctor came into his room. "I'm Dr. Patterson how are you feeling?" "Ok I guess" "well we had to go in a surgically remove the bullet that hit your knee and shoulder. You should be able to use that hand in about 3 weeks and you may be back to dancing in as little as 2 months but only if you are determined and do your exercises." "Oh I will do them."  Then they heard a knock at the door "come in" said Howie then the guys walked in "Hey D how ya doin?"  asked A.J "I'll leave you to be with your friends but just buzz the buzzer if you need me or one of the nurses. "Ok thanks doc" Said Howie. " I feel like crap but ok I guess." Said Howie  "Listen D, Mikki loved you with all of her heart, she told me to tell you and the rest of the guys thank you and to go ahead with our lives and never to give up. And howie she told me to tell you that she will ALWAYS be in your heart and be with you everywhere you go." Said Brian.  "I know but its not fair that I lived and she didn't."  "We know that it wasn't fair for God to take her now but it is what he wanted." Said A.J. as he tried to comfort his best friend. "I know thanks guys." Said Howie About a week later at my funeral "We are here today to recognize and celebrate the life of McKayla CraddokDorough she was a great friend, daughter and a great sister she was my only sister she was like a second mom her eyes sparkled everytime someone would mention Howie or the group. She was a great teacher, mentor and she never knew this but I always wanted to be just like her, to have a great boyfriend, fiance, and a husband to have great friends, to go to college be as successful as she was. I want to tell Howie what she told me the night before the wedding, she was going to give you these," she stepped off the podium and walked over to where the guys and Howie were sitting and handed him a black box. He opened it up and they were two little hoop earrings that had the engraving  "M & H 4 ever" on the inside of them. Then Howie looked up into her eyes and said thank you. "Then she sat down and A.J. helped Howie to the mic and he started talking. "Hi everyone I just wanted to tell you all how much your love and support has helped me try to move on. I don't know hwy God took here that day and kept me on this earth but he had a good reason and she is now going to work her magic in the heavens above. She was the best thing to happen to me, she was the love of my life she supported my dream and she also perused hers and she accomplished a big part of that dream on earth and now she will have to finish the rest of it up in heaven. I do believe she is watching over all of us along with Caroline. I am so glad that she will have met her Caroline was a great person she didn't deserve to die just like my McKayla didn't but god has a plan for all of us and theirs is to be done in heaven now. Now the guys and I are going to sing manda's favorite song for her one last time." Then it was over and the guys helped Howie out to the limo and went to A.J.'s house 6 months later      "Ok everyone the last song we are going to do is Spanish Eyes." Then Brian looked to Howie and said "its all your D" then Howie spoke up and said, "I would like to dedicate this song to my wife, my partner, Mikki. You will always be loved."  After he said that him and the other guys started singing  and after they finished he didn't hear cheers and screaming but he heard clapping.
