A New Year's Never To Forget The 10 of us were sitting in our apartment watching TV on New Year's Eve.  Casey and Brian were cuddling on the couch with Tike with them.  Kevin and I were  sitting on the chair together.  AJ and Lori were on the couch too, cuddling.  Nick was on the floor with Kim leaning on him.  Finally Holly was sitting on the other chair and Howie was sitting on the floor by the chair.  No one was saying anything, because no one  knew  what to talk about.  Finally Kim, broke the silence by saying,  "I just got a crazy idea about a game that we should play." Oh, I guess I should introduce everyone.  Kim is Nick's girlfriend of a year,  Lori is AJ's girlfriend of 3 years, and Holly is Howie's girlfriend of 3 years too.  Then there's Brian's girlfriend, Casey, they've been dating for about 5 years.  Casey's been my best friend since forever, and the 2 of us have known Brian for our whole lives too.  Finally  there's me, Amanda, I've been dating Kevin for 2 years, but we've been friends for years.  Anyway,back to the story: "What's that Kim?"  Casey asked. "Well, since it's New Year's Eve, and the new millennium is coming, we should remember the past years."  We all liked the idea, since sitting there was boring. "To make things interesting though, let's put themes on them." Kim added. "OK, but I wanna pick the category first."  Holly said.  "All right, let's do happiest momentin the last 5 years, and Kim you go first." "Happiest moment, umm... I'd have to say the day when Nick told me he loved me. It was my birthday, and we decided to stay in because I wanted it to be  just the two of us. We were having a good time, when out of the blue, Nick gave the  greatest kiss I ever got,then he told me he loved me with all of his heart.  It was the best birthday ever." "Awe.  We have a little romantic in our mist."  Brian said. "Ah shut it Rok."  Nick replied as he gave Kim a little kiss on the cheek.  Then Kim picked me. "Me?  OK,"  I started,  " I know this might sound a little cold hearted, but the happiest moment for me was when I broke up with Chris.  I really didn't love him, but I was still dating him for a year.  So I was so happy the day we actually broke up.  Now I'm with the most wonderful guy in the world."  Kev put his arm around me. "How sweet." I heard Lori said. "OK, Lori, you go." I said. "Fine, I will.  The happiest moment was more like a day.  It was the  anniversary of when AJ and I first started dating.  I was so happy, because none of my other relationships ever lasted longer than 6 months.  Now the 2 of us have been together for 3 years, and I've never been happier." There was an "awe" from us, and then Lori continued, "Let's change the subject now, what do you say?  I wanna know everyone's saddest moment in the last 10 years.  And Howie gets the pleasure of going first." Howie had to think about this one for a second, and then said, "My saddest moment would have to be the week when Holly and I fought."  To refresh our memories Howie told us how things went.  But of course I remembered  everything, because I was in the middle of the whole thing. *Chapter 2* One night, Holly and I wanted to do something, but no one else wanted  to, so  the two of us went to the mall.  We got back the apartment building around 8:00.  While we werewalking from the garage, we saw Howie.  We didn't say anything to him, because he was talking to a girl.  I assumed that she was a fan, and I guessed Holly thought the same.  Wefound out that she might have been more than a fan, when she kissed him.  Holly, beingthe jealous person she into the building just as Howie saw us.  I really didn't want to be in the middle of that all, so I just let Howie go.  I just went to my apartment.  When I got in the door I figured out that Casey, Brian, and Kevin were in there watching a basketball game. "NOOO!" Casey shouted as we walked in the door.  (That was my clue they where there) "Hey guys."  I said. "Oh, hi Amanda."  Casey said. "So who's winning?" "The one, the only, the great, University of Kentucky."  Brian interrupted.  I sat down and watched the last few minutes of the game. ~After the game~ "So what did you and Holly do tonight?"  Kevin asked. "Oh we just went to the mall and walked around."  I answered. "Anything exciting happen?"  Brian asked. "In fact yeah, when we were walking to the building we sorta caught Howie kissing another girl.  Holly didn't take that to well, as you would have guessed." "Oh sounds like fun for Amanda now."  Casey added sarcastically. I tried to avoid both Holly and Howie the next day, that plan was a success.  As for the day after that, Howie decided to ask me for help, since I'm so nice, I agreed to help him out.  I just made Holly listen to what I had to say and then had her and Howie talk. One thing led to another and they finally got back together. ~~~~~~~~ "Now wasn't that a fun few days for us all."  Holly said. "Oh I had so much fun I couldn't stand it."  I said. "Ok enough of that, Bone you next."  Howie said. "My saddest moment is when we leave to go on tour.  Especially when we go to Europe. It's so hard to be away from you guys.  I gotta admit I can remember the day that we left for Europe in 98..." ~~~~~~~~ "I can't believe that the guys are leaving tomorrow." Casey said as we were getting ready to go to work. "Well at least we can spend all night with them since it's a Friday."  I said trying to lighten the situation, but it didn't really work. "Well, I'll see you later."  She said as she walked out of the room. * That night* "So what's the plan for the night?"  Holly asked. "Well, I guess we'll all have dinner together, and then split off and do our own thing."  AJ answered. "So are we going to go then?" Lori asked. "Sure, why not?"  Brian said, so we left. * At the restaurant * We had a good time at the restaurant, no one really seemed to think about why we were there.  I don't think that any one wanted to.  Anyway, after dinner we all split off like AJ said earlier.  Casey went to Brian's, Lori to AJ's, Howie to Holly's, Kim to Nick's and I went over to Kevin's place.  So basically the couples just did their own thing. Kevin and I were just enjoying each others company, as cheesy as that sounds.  We just wanted to spend time with each other since we wouldn't be able to for the next 3 months. "So what are we going to do tonight?"  I asked. "I don't know, what should we do?"
