The Backstreet Witch Project ~Chapter 1~ Five men went out into the woods on a camping trip in March of 1996.  3 years later videos of there trip were found. ---------- "OK why are we doing this again?"  Nick asked as him, A.J., Howie, Brian, and Kevin pulled all of their gear out of the car.  The guys finally had some time off.  What would be better than to go out camping?  Just sit back, do some hiking, not having to worry about the press or fans or anything. "Just for the hell of it Frack."  Brian said. "Oh, well I would still rather stay home playing nintendo instead." "Nick, you're going to get sucked into that thing sooner or later."  A.J. said.  When they all got there back packs and everything together they started walking to the trail that was right ahead of them.  "Oh great a video camera.  This should be loads of fun!"  Nick said.  He saw that Kevin had brought his camera.  He didn't tell anyone that he was going to use it. "Hey I just want to remember this as our only time of piece and quiet."  Kevin replied. "Yeah yeah." Brian got right up into the camera. "Hi mom!"  He said and kept walking. "Nick if you are going to complain the whole time I am going to have to tape your mouth shut."  A.J. said.  He was getting annoyed with Nick?s attitude.  They all walked on, following trails, and just talking about stupid little things and doing some weird things in front of the camera.  But that was mainly Brain and A.J.  Then they saw that the trail stopped.  "Now what?"  Brain asked.  He had been leading the guys through the whole thing but then he didn't know where to go. "Well why don't we just keep going straight?"  Kevin suggested. "Whatever you say."  Brain said and they kept walking on. *5 hours later* "Where the hell are we?"  Howie asked looking around. "Ummmm.......I don't know.?  Brian said. "Shit we are going to die out here!"  A.J. yelled. "Shut up Bone!  No we aren't.  I know pretty much where we are.  Besides this isn't a very big area.  I don't think you can even get lost in here."  Kevin said.  "But it?s getting dark so I think we should camp out here for the night." They all set up 2 tents and made a fire.  "Oh yeah this is so much better than staying home safe and sound playing nintendo."  Nick said sarcastically. "Nick will you shut up?"  A.J. said.  "I'm just saying..." "Shut....UP!" "OK sorry." They sat there in silence for awhile just staring at the fire.  No one really wanted to say anything.  They were all thinking of a way to get out of there.  They all figured that they would be able to re-trace their steps.  They knew they weren't lost or anything.  Or at least they didn't think so. "Kev don't you have your cell phone with you?"  Brian asked with a little bit of hope. "No man I left it in the car because I didn't want anyone calling us to tell us to come back to do some press conference or something.  Why do we need it?  We are not lost." "Kevin!!  Damn now we have no hope.  We are going to die and no one will ever find us and what about all the fans?  They will be sad that we are gone......."  A.J. started "SHUT UP!"  they all shouted at the same time. "But still." he saw that everyone was glaring at them so he stopped talking. "I think we should all just get some sleep and then head back in the morning."  Howie said.  They all agreed and went into one of the two tents. ~Chapter 2~ "Are ya'll ready to go?"  Brain asked the next morning. "Yeah."  They all replied.  "So which way are we going Kev?"  Brian asked. "Um I think that way."  he said pointing to the left of him. "Ok."  They all walked on following where ever Kevin said to go.  They walked on for about three hours. "Are you sure this is the right way?"  Howie asked. "Yeah I'm sure."  Kevin said.  "Why don't you lead and I take the camera."  Brian suggested. "Fine."  Brian took the camera and Kevin lead the group. "Hey Kev say hi to the camera!"  Brain said. "Yeah hi."  he said.  They all walked on while Brain was having fun with the camera.  He seemed to lighten the situation they were all in.  You know Brian, he can always make you laugh no matter how mad you are. *3 more hours later* "Ok it didn't take us this long to get out to where we were.  I think we are going the wrong way."  Nick said. "No we aren't it's this way.  I know where we are."  Kevin assured. "Yeah ok."  Nick said.  ~We are so lost out here.  We are going to die and no one will ever find us.~  he thought.  *yet another 3 hours* It started to get dark again so they set up the two tents and made another fire.  Everyone was grouchy and weren?t nice to anyone anymore.  They were all pissed that they were lost. "I can't believe this."  Nick said under his breath.  "I shouldn't have come." "I agree."  A.J. said. "A.J. what's with you?  You have been an ass towards me since we started on this stupid trip." "That's because you are a huge couch potato that doesn't like to go anywhere!"  He replied. "Yeah well you're a big....." "Yo guys chill!!"  Howie yelled interrupting Nick.  "This isn't going to get us anywhere so just shut up will you?"  They both stopped arguing and sat there glaring at eachother.  The guys sat there a little while longer and then again went into one of the two tents to go to sleep. ~Chapter 3~ *Some time around 2 in the morning* "Hey did you here that?"  A.J. asked.  There was a strange noise that was coming from all around them.  It seamed like it was some sort of laughing.  It was too hard to tell. "Yeah what is that?"  Kevin answered.  "Oh no where's D at?" "Oh shit where did he go?" "Well maybe he went to the bathroom or something." "But he left his shoes in here Kev."  He held up one of Howie?s shoes as proof. "Well maybe he went to talk to Nick and Brian for some reason." "Again.....Shoes." "I think we should go look."  Kevin suggested. "Ok then you go first." "I'm not going first are you crazy?  Those are some really freaky sounds!" "Well I'm not going out there first."  A.J. laid back down in his sleeping bag. "Well I'm sure he'll be back so we can just wait."  Kevin said. "Fine with me." *7:00 AM, or sometime around there* "Howie!!!!"  A.J. yelled.  "This isn't funny get your ass out here!"  Howie was gone and no one knew where he went.  They all searched for him for about an hour and then gave up. "Well he's gone."  Brian said.  "I think we should get going.  You know that if he was somewhere around here he would be able to hear us, and if he's watching us playing some really stupid joke then he'll come out when he sees us all leaving." They got their stuff together and started walking again.  This time they all were walking faster hoping that they would get out of this place.  Where did Howie go?  There was something totally wrong.  All anyone could think about is Howie and what could have happened to him.  None of them could think of anything good.  All bad things about him being killed by something.  Sure they all heard the stories about it being haunted.  They were all warned to not go in there.  But they didn't listen.  Nothing like that really existed.  Did it? "If he's playing a joke I'm am going to pound on him."  Nick said to A.J. "See?  I told you that we are all going to die!  But did you listen to me?  No!  Now D is dead and one of us is next!!!!!!!!!!"  A.J. screamed. "A.J. shut up!  We are going to get out of here.  Howie is OK I'm sure he found help or something...............He's not dead all right?"  Kevin yelled. ~Chapter 4~ They walked all day in the same direction as they had the day before.  They haven't found Howie and were scared about what happened to him.  They tried not to think about it but it was hard not to.  Just thinking of all the possibilities of what could have happened to him.  He could have been back at the campsite, but they all knew he wasn't.  Howie was gone and they didn't think they would ever see him again. "We are going in circles!  We will never get out of here!  Well at least not alive!"  Nick complained. "We aren't going in circles and we are going to get out of here alive."  Kevin assured. "Yeah well we can't say that about Howie now can we?"  A.J. said "A.J. shut up.  Howie is ok."  Kevin said getting really annoyed. "Yeah ok Kev.  You think that." "And why do you still have that damn camera on anyway?"  Nick asked. "Because I want this all to be on tape.  Show everyone our wonderful journey in the woods."  he answered sarcastically. "Kevin you've really lost it.  You know what you can do with your damn camera?  You can go......"  A.J. started to say. "ALL RIGHT!  WILL YOU ALL JUST SHUT UP!  THIS IS GETTING US NO WHERE!"  Brian interrupted.  They all stopped talking surprised at Brian's reaction. "Thank you!  Now which way are we going?  This direction is getting us no where.  I think we should take a new rout." "Well it doesn't really matter there is no path anywhere.  I think we should go east."  Nick said.  They all agreed and started walking east. *3 more very long hours* Again, it started getting dark so they set up camp again.  They didn?t light a fire that night.  They were just so tired that they went to sleep right away. A.J. sat up straight, scared about what he had just heard.  "Hey Kev.  Kev wake up.  Did you hear that?" "Hear what?  I was sleeping."  Kevin said with his back towards A.J.  They heard the sound again.  It was something like screaming.  Just a faint scream.  A.J. thought that it could have been Howie.  He listened a little more, it wasn't Howie.  It sounded more like a girl.  Well maybe it could have been Howie, but it wasn't. "Hear that!"  A.J. said.  Kevin sat up.  A little freaked on what he had just heard. "Hey guys what the hell is that?"  Brian said from outside of A.J. and Kevin's tent.  A.J. opened up the tent and let Brian and Nick cram inside.  They were all listening to the faint screams.  Then they started to get louder.  They could hear something coming towards them.  The screaming was getting louder now.  It sounded just like....just like... "Howie!"  Nick yelled.  They could here whoever it was run past them.  Nick got out and started running towards the dark figure who was still running and screaming. "Nick come back here!"  Kevin yelled.  "Nick that's not Howie!  That can't be!  Nick!"  It was too late.  The screaming was gone.  And so was Nick. Chapters 5-9 Back to Fanfic Back to Main Page
