My name is Kari Nelson, and i live in Seattle, Washington. Despite what everyone thinks, we dont all wear flannels, listen to grunge, and sit out in the rain while mourning the death of Kurt Cobain. The ska scene here is actually pretty decent. Not as good as most scenes i'm sure, but it could always be worse. When it is not raining outside, i enjoy kickin it with my friends downtown, and going record shopping. When it is raining i like to find myself in the mall (i love clothes and show shopping!), or at home watching Quadraphenia, Grease, Sid & Nancy, The Harder They Come, or Romper Stomper. I also enjoy going to shows, but that is just a given. I don't care much for 3rd wave ska. I mostly like traditional, two tone, skinhead reggae, along with a little oi! and a little rockabilly.
