Black Queen era
The band which is called "Black Queen" was founded
in the end of November, 1996 in Moscow, Russia. The first lineup was:
The very first gig has happened in 1997 on February, 11.
The first demo record was produced on March on "Vnukovo" studio. It contained six tracks: Black Queen,
Ruined Childhood, Show Me The Way, Is It Worth, Lady Gibson, The Sea Between Us. So the active gig life began. The band
keeps on performing up to this date. Performances were held in many popular Moscow clubs such as Bednye Lyudi, Polnolunie,
R-Club, Diamond, Cruiser, Art-Prima, Moscow Rock Club, R.V.S., Manhattan-Express, Magnifique, Tabula Rasa, Taxman, etc.
Some changes happened to the band since its successful start.
It acquired a new drummer, Rustam Gabitov. Konstantin Tverskoy, the vocalist left because of family circumstances.
The band tried to find a new vocalist, but discovered nobody who would match. So it was decided to avoid male vocals at all.
Band members were musically influenced by:
Ritchie Blackmore, Joe Lynn Turner, "Simply Red", Michael Hutchence ("INXS"), Yngwie Malmsteen,
Roger Glover, "Queen", Tommy Lee ("Motley Crew"), "Think About Mutation", etc.
On May, 1998 a new recording was made.
It included ten tracks: Kindness, On The Edge Of Madness, Morning Train, Little Sister, Megalomania, Lady Gibson (Remix),
Black Joke, The Horror, Moonfish Rock'n'Roll, (Change) The Master For.
N.EXT era
The "N.EXT" project arose as an independent project
of "Black Queen" musicians. Its foundation was inspired by "vox populi" heard from the band manager
Sergey Belozyorov.
