Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron Release Date : May 24th,
2002 Type of Animation : Traditional animation; this is DreamWorks' 3rd traditionally animated film after The Prince of Egypt and The Road to El Dorado.
Bryan has been involved with a new Dreamworks animated film project with Director, Jeffery Katzenburg, who is known for his recent work on Shrek and Prince Of Egypt. Bryan is the voice of the main character, a horse, in Spirit: Stallion Of The Cimarron slated for release May 24th.
The whole story will be told from the viewpoint of the
horse, with his thoughts heard as narrative. The film follows the
adventures of a wild and rambunctious stallion as he journeys through
the untamed American frontier. Spirit defies being broken, even as he develops a remarkable friendship with a young Lakota brave. The young stallion also finds love with a beautiful mare named Rain on his way to becoming one of the greatest unsung heroes of the Old West.
Bryan made a trip to Los Angeles over the summer and in early October to record his voice overs for the movie. Other cast voice talents include James Cromwell and Daniel Studi. Bryan has also written the soundtrack with the original score by composer Hans Zimmer (The Lion King). The album is expected to contain at least 11 songs. Bryan has written with Mutt Lange and Gretchen Peters to name a few. The CD is also due in stores late May.
