No Way Out Rules the Frat

The fraternity has long been a staple in the rite of college. Young men perform obscene and odd acts to get in, and the bonuses of being a member are numerous. Not only do you get to become close friends with your fellow members, but you also get to indulge in two of life’s greatest joys: beer and women.

In keeping with the tradition set by many up and coming bands, No Way Out performed at their first frat party in May at the University of Minnesota. The show was set up by drummer Dave Collier, a proud member of the house in which the show was performed.

Perform is exactly what No Way Out did. Despite a chilly night and a crowd that started off a little lackadaisical, No Way Out vaulted through the show at their customary extreme pace. Playing classic No Way Out staples and some great new punk covers, No Way Out soon had the crowd rocking along with them. Although this could be contributed to alcohol consumption, this unbiased observer is sure that the band was the main reason for the exuberance of the crowd.

Although many in the crowd confessed to not being huge punk fans, the stage presence and sheer force of the show left many marveling at the band's talent and their exhilarating drive, and converted many new No Way Out fans. The only disappointment they expressed was that the band had to quit so early, due to a few complaints from the neighbors due to a large volume of noise.

Afterward, the band took in the sights, sounds, and alcohol that is the highlight of any frat party. With the people numbering in the hundreds, there were an abundance of potential recruits that had to be converted to the No Way Out cause. So, using their vast persuasive techniques (which even included the powerful persuasiveness of alcohol), the band set about meeting as many people as possible, hoping to build a fan base in this very diverse crowd. Meet they did, persuading more than a handful to be proud lovers of No Way Out. All in all, the night was a success, even if there did prove to be some miscommunication and a few urinary mishaps.
