My inspiration for this peice was from the BRILLIANT MTV Europe site. You have to see it. Another reason is because MTV is, probably, the biggest cable network in the WORLD, it reaches about 1 billion people. You may find it interesting to know, that MTV NZ is the only FREE TO AIR MTV channel in the world. It was created from the frequencies that an oldies network, which was closed down due to bad ratings, and because an opposing network launched a 'youth' channel. TVNZ got upset and launched MTV. Who said that no one benefits from people who get jealous.
MTV has channels all over the world. But not many countries have their own web sites. I looked for MTV INDIA (yes it does exist) but there was no official web site, just boring news reports of its launch. In NZ we have a feed from the UK plus several of our own programs. My favourite has to be Up For It LIVE on MTV UK. 9-10pm
