Comments:
I've been waiting for this boot since 1988 It got the infamous Tequila sunrise performance by Larry and probably the only performance of 11 o'clock tick tock on the Joshua Tree tour. It would make it one of the last performances of this song ever. Only 2 later performances that I know of (30-12-89 & 10-01-90).
I first heard of the Tequila sunrise performance when Rattle and hum was released. On a radio show there was an interview with a bootlegcollector who played a few samples of his tapes including this song. I still got a tape from that program. The song is an Eagles song. Apparently Larry wanted to do this song and sing it himself. Anyone who has ever heard Larry sing knows that he should stick to old Irish drinking songs. Certainly not an Eagles song. The rest of this show is also interesting. Out of control makes an appearance and it's the only show of the tour where Bullet the blue sky and Running to standstill were played between Bad and New year's day. Lucille is played before 40, but I'm not sure if 40 was played that day. It's not listed in my sources and it sounds editted in. The final soundcheck tracks are from the Cow Palace in San Francisco on the 25 of april and are also available with the full concert of that day on Joshua Tree on fire.
