Comments:
Tracks 1-16 are incorrectly labeled as being from "December 1979".
A very early U2 concert. It includes early non-album tracks such as
"Speed of Light", "The Magic Carpet", "Trevor", "Pete the Chop",
"Cartoon World", and "Jack in The Box". This is a very good and
energetic show. After this show, U2 were offered a deal with Island
Records. The CD is well-packaged, with era-correct pictures of the
band on the sleeve and case. Track 1 is "The Silver Lining", which is
an early version of "11 O'Clock Tick Tock" (with different lyrics),
as it is listed on the cover. Track 18 features The Police. Track 19
features Bruce Springsteen. All of the bonus tracks have a fuzz
indicating that the CD was probably recorded from a master whose levels
were too high. This CD concert is available in an edited form as "bonus
tracks" on ARC's FARAWAY, SO CLOSE...
