In 1966, the Beatles were continuing their "Studio Years". During this time, they played around with different sounds, looking for something to set them apart from other groups. This album followed the pattern left by the previous one, Rubber Soul . The cover sports four big drawings of the Beatles, surrounded by smaller pictures of them. The album isn't exactly one of their most famous albums, but it is still pretty good and does hold its own. Among the bright spots on this album are the haunting Eleanor Rigby , the playful Yellow Submarine , the instrumental Got To Get You Into My Life, and John's I'm Only Sleeping. The Beatles started their tradition of ending an album on a strong note with Lennon's Tomorrow Never Knows . This pattern would continue with most every album on out until the break-up.
