Released in 1967, Sgt. Pepper changed the face of rock forever. The idea came from Paul's vision of the Beatles posing as a different band. The album's uniqueness can clearly be seen on the cover. The Beatles, now mustached and dressed in bright colors, are in the center, surrounded by famous people. These people were picked by the Beatles as the most-respected people they would like to meet. The album was the first to have printed lyrics in it, and the first with a gatefold sleeve. The set-up of the album was different too, as one song smoothly flowed into the next (no stops), something which had never been done to that point. The album starts with the rock-n-rolling title song, which leads to Ringo's With A Little Help From My Friends which leads into John's Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, and several songs later ends, with the dramatic ending of A Day In The Life . This entire album is great as every song is excellent in its own right.
The album marked the high point of the Beatles career. With Manager Brian Epstein's death not far away, the Beatles would only last 3 more years....
