Mayor's House
At a popultaion of 2,000 you get a Mayor's
House. Although it's nice to live on a hill or island of your own it raises
the land value of the surrounding zones to live by Residential zones. This
gift is renameable. It takes up a 2x2 area.
City Hall
At a population of 10,000 you receive a
City Hall. A City Hall not only looks nice but it provides an analysis of how
much of your land is used by what type of zones, transportation, parkland,
and water. I like to put a statue in front (or if your cheating, 2 statues).
This gift is renameable. It takes up a 3x3 area.
Statue
At a population of 30,000 you are allowed to
build a Statue. It looks nice anywhere on the map but I like to put it out in
the middle of the river. This gift is renameable. It takes up 1 tile.
Military Base
At a population of 60,000 you are offered a Military Base. You can accept or
reject the offer. If decide to accept they look to see if there is a suitable
place to build it. A message is then brought back to you telling you if they
found a place for it. If you build the base Maxis Man will never show up.
Llama Dome
At a population of 90,000 you can build a
Llama Dome. After playing the game for awhile you may be wondering what the
deal is with all the Llama and Dromedery references is. The Llama Dome looks
nice just about anywhere. The Llama Dome not only looks good but it's also
for bungee jumping, getting married and complaining about. This gift is
renameable. It takes up a 4x4 area.
Arcologies
When your city reaches 120,000 people you are allowed to build Arcologies.
Arcologies (Arco's) are mini-cites that can hold from - 65,000 people! Arco's
are renameable. The downside to Arco's is that they create crime and
pollution. Arco's are renamable.
