Question:

How did you come up with the name MEATBEES?

Answer from Jack:

I read an article, in 1989, about these bees that sting animals to death, steal chicken from picnickers, and basically enjoy consuming meat products. I am large, and enjoy consuming meat products. I also like bees. T. Bub (our bass player) saw something on T.V. about these MEAT BEES too. Around this time, we got a chance to play our first gig, and we needed a name within 24 hours. I said, how about MEATBEES. The other guys said, "that name sucks". I replied, all right, what do you want to be called? They said, "duh". I didn't think duh was a very good name. The rest is history. Now that I think about it, maybe "duh" wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Question:

Why are all those girls taking off their clothes at your shows?

Answer:

We have no explanation. Could be our incredible animal magnetism! We only hope that it is a trend that continues for a long time!

Question:

Why do you guys play so infrequently?

Answer from Jack:

We Blow and we can't get booked anywhere. Just kidding. We do blow, but it's been no problem getting booked - probably due to some crowded shows that we've done recently. People have a lot of fun at our shows. They tell their friends and even more people come. The bar sells a lot of beer. The bartenders and wait staff make money. Word gets around.

We try to make our shows events; something to look forward to. We've also been spending time working on new songs. We're doing new originals now and are always adding new covers.
