

Born GEORGIOS KYRIACOS PANAYITOU (06/25/63), in Finchley, London, England, son of a successful restaurant owner in Chipre, lived on London suburb.
He was 12 years old when his parents moved to Heartricker and George went to
school on Bushey Meads. There he came to know his partner ANDREW RIDGLEY
(01/26/63), born in Windlesham, Surrey, England.
Andrew dreamed of being a soccer player or a Pop Star. He didnīt go to university, then he resolved to make a band.
George formed his first band in 1979, called "Executives".
Later, George and Andrew left the band to make Wham!, which became a huge success.
In 1982, they signed with Innervision Records, and released the single
"Wham!Rap".
The first album had 4 hits in the Top 10 in England Parade.
The "Make it big" album (1984) was a great success in USA with the single
"Wake me up before you go-go".
George Michael began to write more than Andrew.
The first step for his solo career was "Careless Whisper" (1984), which went to the top place on American Parade. The song was written in 1981, when he was only 17 years old.
In 1985, Wham became the first western band to perform in China.
In the next year, GM announced the end of band.
