A Brief History of The Axemen - The Early Years.

the winter of 84 in an upstairs brewery just a stones throw from the Avon
hiXtory is undergoing another isoquantic shift as the electronics from a fuzz box and walkie talkie are gaffa taped into little stevies aXe. Now everyone with
an FM receiver within 200M can tune into SleekBotFM. 3 Axpostles have
congregated to weave the tenets of AXlore. At no time shall any song once being
performed, be performed again. Also in the room is a mystic southener who can
smell an unplayed instrument before he can smell a brewery. He is making a
beeline for a bass. "That line of b's is never going to convince anyone."
interjected one of the trio, and with a Glaswegian lilt added, "Yoos thoos baas
un ploog in oover 'ere laak!" Little stevie is monitoring his broadcast through
his slumboombox. Now the menu reads twin aXes congas and bass, leaving room for
the soulful sound of big Al's sax. After running through 35 songs we are
confident that we'll do the McGoohans right proud as we bring rock to the garden city's sleepy suburbs.

To be contd.....
