Episode: 24 Saigo no Shisha (The Last Messenger)
The Beginning and the End, or "Knockin' on Heaven's Door"
BGM Title Time Scene of appearance
Beethoven Symphony No. 9 3'42" The Fifth Children, Nakisa Kaworu, debuts in the final episode of Eva that has a coherent storyline. This is not really BGM, but Kaworu is humming some classical music when he met Shinji for the first time.
Beethoven Symphony No. 9 5'48" Shinji is listening to his walkman inside NERV. He is listening to the same music that Kaworu was humming earlier on.
Beethoven Symphony No. 9 13'44" The same music as above. Kaworu activates Eva-02 by sheer will power. And yes, he levitates too. The music lasted for the rest of the episode, complete with vocals, until Kaworu is killed by Eva-01.

This is another BGM-less episode, save for the recurring Beethoven Symphony No. 9.
For fans out there: In the DVD, there is an additional scene of Kaworu talking to the monoliths of Seele, and Misato spying from above.
Can someone educate me on what is Lilin (or Lilim), and what is Lilith? Is Kaworu talking about the same thing, or are my ears playing tricks on me? 8-)
