MCing

Possibly the most important part of hip hop, especially today. MCing is the art of creating rhymes over beats created either electronically or with real instruments. There are many MCs in the, some of them excellent and some of them who should have just kept their mouths shut.

What makes a good MC though? Well, one of the most important factors are the lyrics. Lyrics can be full of good meanig filled with complicated metaphors and funny punchlines, all of which can make a great MC. they way the lyrics are delivered also makes a big difference. You have RZAs harsh way of delivering rhymes and then you have LL Cool J's very smooth delivery (not to say he is a great MC anymore, though!). The originality of the MC is also important and this can make a great MC or simply a wack MC.
