This site is being called "The Underground" because of the way we came to know Ani's music--not through the radio, tv, or the recent popularity surge. We learned the old word of mouth way, and we really happy about that. Not that any of you who just recently found out about Ani through these various methods have any reason to be ashamed of your fandom. Regardless of how big her shows get, however many cartoons she's on, or whatever radio stations play her, it's still the little folksinger up there playing her songs. And every new person who hears her music and is touched by it in someway deserves her music as much as us "old-school" fans. So anyway, we've called our site "Underground" for that reason. (And the bootlegs and sound clips and tape tree and fake guitar tabs and picture edits is all, well, not exactly the most legal we could possibly be. Woohoo. Here's to living on the edge, friends...)
