Emma Cresswell is one of THE Boston Cresswells, one of the richest families in the country. She's never thought about her money before, but now she's starting to become independent and wants to be friends with people other than her mother's so called friends' daughters. She wants to gain control in her life, and the first step is getting a job away from Boston and her rich, self absorbed, and separated parents. So she decides to apply as an au pair for one summer in beautiful Sunset Island. Emma gets a job, but wants to fit in with the other teens, and most of all, bot let them find out she's an heiress. She even LOOKS rich, with her blond hair and ice princess complexion.

Emma is hired by the Hewitts as their au pair for three kids, little toddler Katie, six year old Wills, and preteen Ethan. She is charmed by the childrens' antics from running around in swimming fins and snorkel, to mud sliding in the rain, to trying to make Sally (a doll) swim in the bathtub. She is also delighted by the New England house, and the view of the bay from her bedroom.

Emma's personality appears cool and collected, although inside, she may be racing around a million miles a minute.Her fashion style is conservative, stylish, and not too revealing. Her regular accessories include-white flat sandals, pearl studs, and Cartier watch. Her affectionate nickname is Grace Kelly.
