 Congratulations : you have just reached Plančte Indie.
Plančte Indie is a monthly, Belgian radio show, exclusively dedicated to independent artists, talents, labels, and music.
My name is Pierre Gerard, I am very proud to be its "father", and I am on the air each month, every first Saturday between 5pm until 6.30pm to host it. I will not talk a lot about me here. If you want to know more about me, read the FAQ.
The History
This show started officially on the air in July 1997, after several weeks of preparation, and it has been growing since then.
Since the beginning, the show has been very ambitious : it aims at becoming a reference in the area and in Belgium for the world of independent music. Even if it is mainly focused on pop, rock and electronic music, there is room for each and every style, provided the music is good.
A lot of things have happened during these almost 10 years of existence ... 
The Geography
Plančte Indie is broadcast every first Saturday of each month between 5pm and 6.30pm on 100.1fm.
The transmitter is located in the deep South of Belgium, in the area of Arlon - Virton - Florenville - Longwy (F) - Aubange. This makes the show being received not only in Belgium ...

Plančte Indie™ has also been present on the internet since the beginning. It is for me the cheapest and most efficient way to let people around the world know about this project.

Plančte Indie is open to every style of music. The one and only condition to fulfill to be played is to be 'indie', which means for me 'not being distributed worldwide by a major'.
These productions have enough opportunities to be heard elsewhere.
Plančte Indie, it's one hour and a half of musical discoveries, it's an open door to the waves for artists who have very rarely (if not ever) the opportunity to be played on the air on commercial fm stations. During these 90 minutes, we travel through music styles, kinds, countries, labels, ... It is very varied : rock stands next to ambient, pop, world music, ...
During the show, one particular album is put under the spotlights. It is the "artist of the month". Three tracks out of it are played on the air, and the artist/band deserves a closer presentation of his work, ...
At the times when the show was produced on a weekly basis, a contest was organised among all the "albums of the week". The listeners were invited to select the one that would receive the title of "Plančte Indie Best Album Of The Year".
