ALBUM REVIEWS - WESTLIFE

SUOSIKKI
* ('evening walk')
Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan and Bryan McFadden have got British women all mixed up like Boyzone. We didn't have to wait long for an album. Westlife is a conquer of versatility, a cry of help for unemployed ballad writers. 10 out of 17 songs are slow and very much alike. Swear It Again and Fool Again are on it.
Westlife is at their best in the R. Kelly type track Flying Without Wings, which is different from the base. They haven't spared of the sugar icing and everything's light as jumping around on a rubber ball. As in everything, you get bored of them no matter how nice they were. Extreme's More Than Words is almost exactly the same as the original version. I'd think that the nice part of covering would be doing an own version. Eller hur?
