The Offspring "Self-Esteem" sound sample should be gone now. It caused a lot of trouble and it was doubtful if Bush meant to rip it off. You (everyone who told me) were right, I was wrong, yada yada yada, blah blah blah.
I got mailbombed a while back, (by a bush fan, of course) so I had to delete my mailbox. If you've sent me anything recently and I haven't responded (Recently=Since October) you might want to send it back.
I'm getting rid of a lot of the crap on the page and hopefully adding some new and better stuff. I guess geocities users just got an extra meg of space, so we'll see what I come up with...
In the meantime, I've got an article to put up, the Self-Esteem thing will be/is gone, and the out-of-date Pat Smear interview will be updated. Thanks for coming here even though it hasn't been updated in months.
~Foo Fighters are the latest band to be "fighting" with Bush. It started when Dave Grohl wore his Bu$h shirt. (I gotta get one of those!) Gavin, who used to love Foo Fighters, started talking about how Grohl's lyrics don't mean anything to him. So "Breathe in, breathe out" Means something to him, but "Even though I pass this time alone/Somewhere so unknown/It heals the soul" doesn't. OK there...
~The Smashing Pumpkins played "Swallowed" to insult Bush at a recent concert. Kinda interesting, I guess...
~Thanks to Brian for sending this in: I saw Foo back in April of '96, and I got the chance to talk to Dave
after the show. I said something to the effect of Foo being much better
than Bush. Grohl replied in his best British accent, "Oh, but we're not
British" and then just laughed about it. (Could mean a lot of things but I think he meant that [SARCASTICLY] they aren't as good as Bu$h because Bu$h is British and
The Foo aren't. Well, you wouldn't know Bu$h is British by listening to 'em...)
~Not very new (Actually, OLD, but still cool) Bu$h won the Rolling Stone music awards for worst band and worst album. Congratulations, guys!
