Against All Authority- Destroy What Destroys You, All Fall Down
Screeching Weasel- My Brain Hurts
This is the best CD ever to come out of Lookout Records. The best CD to ever be made. It's a whole bunch of OP IVY's stuff all smushed onto a lovely 27 track CD. If you haven't heard it yet you're missing out. Theres something for the whole family on this one. Fast ones like Hoboken. Slow ones like Bad Town. Mad ones like Officer. Happy ones like Sound System and more. This isn't the kind of CD you get bored of. It's the kind of CD you'll love forever. -Heather
This is the second best CD ever made. Like Operation Ivy's Energy, you don't get bored of it. It's impossible. They blend ska and punk so perfectly you never want to stop listening. The catchy tunes of Punk Rock Jock will make you wanna punch a jock and the fast beat of Braindead will have you up on your feet shouting for more.
This is another one of the best CDs I've ever heard. The Bouncing Souls are definately one of the best bands and if you still haven't heard them (they're on Epitaph now, you have to had heard them dammit) you're missing out. You're missing out if you havent heard a lot of stuff. So go buy every CD you ever see. Including this one. My favourite song on this CD is The Ballad of Johnny X but the rest are closely behind. I've run out of wonderfully corny things to say about music so buy this and figure out something to say yourself. Then go see them live and tell me about it. -Heather
Yes, they too have joined the rest of them on the Epitaph plane on its way to fatter pockets. Oh what can we do. This is the B Souls first release on Epitaph and luckily they haven't changed their sound to match NOFX. Yet. I can't say this CD is better than Maniacal Laughter because it's not. Don't get me wrong. It's a great CD. But it does have a little bit of that boredom factor we all hate. Yes, you too can get bored of this CD after awhile but don't let that stop you from buying it. It's got lots of great songs like I forget the name of that one and Shark Attack. And the Toilet song and East Coast! Fuck You! and many many more. If you're thinking of getting a Bouncing Souls CD but don't know which one, buy them both. And pick up The Good, the Bad and the Argyle while you're at it. Then go see them live. -Heather
This CD is very good. They mix ska and punk very well. It's on a pretty big label so if you're all hung up about that then don't buy it and fuck off becuase I don't like you. This CD has a lot of horns and a lot of fast stuff. It's easily skankable and hard to get sick of. I got this CD a year and a half ago and I still listen to it... sometimes. If you like Against All Authority, you'll like these guys, but they're lyrics are a little less serious.- Heather
I think this CD is a lot better than Destruction By Definition. There's still a bunch of ska but not as much as the first CD. This CD is faster and harder and I like it that way. The lyrics are a lot more serious. It's jam-packed with 22 wonderful songs. I'd suggest this one over the first if you're thinking either/or. I think they're making if they haven't already made a video for at least one song on this album. I can't remember the name of it. But get this CD anyway. - Heather
This CD is really good. It's fast, with horns, loud, great lyrics and anything else. This band is completely DIY and does everything from booking tours to making shirts themselves. They're lyrics are really good and the music is just as good. Fast skatepunk with horns just about sums it up. - Heather
This CD is almost as good as DWDY but it somehow seems to be missing something that the first album had. I don't know what it is but I didn't like this one as much. It still has all the horns, the fast guitar and good lyrics but it's missing something. The lyrics don't seem to be as strong in this one however. Some of the art on this CD is by Jesse Michaels from Operation Ivy so it's a lovely CD case to look at. - Heather

If you'd like to complain about the corniness of these reviews, feel free to contact Heather.
The only drawback is it's length. A wee bit too short but for a debut album, it's top notch. I bought this tape from Kung Fu Records in February '97 and lost it in March '98 on a cruise ship. It's not something you want to lose. If you like Home Grown or the Suicide Machines or any other ska/punk band but want something better, buy this CD. Then try to go see them live, then see if they show up. If they don't, just listen to the CD forever. -Heather
