800 X 600 Resolution

What a resolution is:

A resolution is actually the size of pixels that appear on the screen. The higher the resolution is, the pictures' quality is better, but they are smaller.
Another advantage about a high resolution besides the picture quality is space on the screen for more things. For example, on the internet, when you view a certain page in an 800 X 600 resolution you will see a bigger portion of the page than using a lower resolution (usually 640 X 480).
Today, most of the sites on the internet, including "Hey Now", are designed for surfers who have at least an 800 X 600 resolution. With lower resolutons the site may seem unorganized and too big. That's why it is highly recommended to everyone to switch to a resolution of 800 X 600, and an even higher one if you have a big computer screen like a 17-inch one.

How to change your resolution:

The windows default resolution is automatically set to 640 X 480. In order to change to 800 X 600 you need open the Display Properties. Do that by going to My Computer, then to the Control Panel, and then Display Properties. Or, you can simply press the right mouse button on the desktop and choose Display Properties from the menu that pops up.
Once inside the Display Properties, you are automatically in the Desktop section. You should choose the Settings section which should be somewhere at the top-right. Now you should see the Desktop Area part on the left. If its marker is on 800 X 600 than it's alright, but if it's on something else, move it to 800 X 600. Now press OK. The computer will ask you if you would like to restart it now. Close all windows and press OK. When Windows is back on, the resolution is fixed to 800 X 600.

There is also an application called Quick Resolution which allows automatical switching between resolutions on a push of a button. You may download it at Microsoft's homepage at http://www.microsoft.com.
