This is the oldest game appearing on my list. If you had a computer before 1990 then the chances are you've played Sopwith or Sopwith 2. This simple game lets you fly a Sopwith camel around with a mission to destroy all enemy bases while avoiding all enemy kamikaze planes.
This game is old so don't expect to see good graphics or hear good sound. In fact, press 'S' while you're playing to save all those around you. But like all good games, this game is easy to play, fun to play, and addictive.
Unlike other flying games, this one is not a flight simulator (partly because those type of games were too advanced) but just a simple side-scrolling game. You are equipped with a certain amount of bombs, fuel, and ammunition to destroy all enemy buildings. You can return to the home base by pressing the 'H' key in order to refuel and reload. That is all there is to the game. The levels get tougher and tougher until the buildings start shooting so many bullets at you that it is impossible to fly over them.
Give it a try- I guarantee that you'll like it. It's shareware.
So download it- ok? It's small. Here's a list of keys since
there are no instructions.
