Wilco, Massivivid, Pulsars, John Huss Moderate Combo, Kill Hannah ,The Aluminum Group, My Scarlet Life, Rolls, Atrixo, Fondly, Dovetail Joint, A Modern Joy, Claire, and the Smoking Popes.

6/23/98-Here is the complete track listing for "Pack up the Cats!!!"....."All-Right (Oh, Yeah)," "Cha! Said The Kitty," "Lucky," "Hit The Skids or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Rock," "500,000 Scovilles," "What Can I Tell You," "Fine And Good," "Lead Pipe Cinch," "Cool Magnet," "She Hates My Job," "Stokey," "Laminate Man," "All The Kids Are Right," "Deep Cut" and "Lucky Time."

5/9/98-The first single, All the kids are right, will be released on July 26th. Gabe told me that the album is complete and that it sounds almost nothing like anything they did before. Dean Deleo from Stone Temple Pilots played backup guitar on few songs and contributed vocals to one song. For more info go here to Rollingstone.

5/13/98-Here is the latest and most in depth news you will find on the new album as of right now, here is what Sean Ayers, assistant to Roy Baker, wrote to me.......
Sean here from Lake Havasu. Sorry it took so long to get back to you but it's been busy around here finishing up with the new album. It is now done and on its way to Atlanta for mixing. The album sounds great!!! Scott did a great job belting out the vocals. He dug deep and found things I don't think he had in him. Some of the songs on the record are...."All the kids are right, Laminate man, Lucky Time, Chow said the Kitty, Alright (Oh yeah)". There are about 11 songs and can't think of all the titles. The name of the album is "Pack up the Cats" from the dislike of cats by Scott. The first single will be "All the kids are right". It's a song about a gig gone bad and how no one likes them now.

4/23/98-An assistant to producer Roy Thomas Baker named Sean Ayers has shared the following information with me...Here is a combination of two e-mails he sent to me.....

Every day I get to listen to Scott and Joe make the new record. You should expect this record to completely kick "As good as deads" ass. It looks like the guys are having a great time in the studio. Nick Didia and Roy are pulling the best out of the guys. The sound of this is a little darker but at the same time rocks on an extra large scale! As of today (4-22-98) Scott is starting vocals and should be done next week, then comes home to open for Cheep Trick after that it's off to Atlanta for post producton.

And what do you do in the studio?

What I do around the studio is just about everything from setting up Joe's drums, hooking up mics, helping Nick set up amps, and even getting food for the guys. I even help out Scott make a cool sound for the intro of a song. These are by far the coolest guys i've worked with.

And last, Do you know of a release date for the new album?

As far as the release date i'm not to sure. It all depends on post production, it should be around june or july. It will be worth the wait!! They will be opening for Cheep Trick in the first part of May a must see show!!!!

Thanks Sean!!!!!

3/25/98-The following is a excerpt of what Scott said to the fans before heading into the studio......Well, I just wanted to drop by and say goodbye to all of you for a while. Me and Joe leave to start recording tomorrow(3/26). We'll be in Arizona with the legendary Roy Thomas Baker producing. If you guys don't now who he is, then rent the Rolling Stones movie, "Gimme Shelter" from '70. That's him sitting right next to Mick Jagger. Roy produced a lot of classic records from the '70's by the likes of Queen, the Cars, and Journey. He's also worked with Cheap Trick, Devo and engineered on countless great records. Speaking of engineers, we're getting Nick Didia. Nick has been Brendan O'Brien's right hand man for countless great records that most fo you probably own such as Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, STP, and Matthew Sweet. I'm really excited about what we could do with the two of them. Expect 12 or 13 interconnected songs ranging from punkish new wave to languid soft rock. We'll be expanding on some of the stoner sensibilities that we played with on 'Manifest Density 2'. I'm totally ready to blow our last record out the water but I don't want to say too much about the record. I think the songs are all great but we haven't even stepped into the studio. We hope to be done by the BEGINNING OF MAY. See ya soon, Bye.

3/16/98-Here is the LASTEST info about the new album.....Gabe said, "the guys are recording in Arizona starting next week. They have a lot of songs which vary. In my opinion they haven't missed a beat. I wish I could give you tiles and such, but I think they are all working titles. I am hoping we get back on the road this SUMMER. Take it easy... Later, Gabe.". So there you go. It sounds like we may get the album exactly when we thought, mid-June. Let's wait and hope!!!

2/22/98- Gabe informed on the Chicago Fanphair Awards. He said the Local H did not win an award. Sorry about the false info.

2/18/98- After Scott finishes the tour with TFA, him, Joe and Gabe will head back into the studio to complete the new album. Scott said that he hopes to have the new album out by the end of June. But he also said that Local H's record label (Island Records) wants them to have it out sooner than that. My guess is that if they can't get the album out early enough, Local H will contribute a song to a compilation or soundtrack since their company wants to put something out.

2/8/98- I have heard that Local H is nominated for some awards at this years Chicago Fanphair. They are supossedly nominated for "Best New Band", "Best Song" and "Best Songwriting". They also supossed to be playing at the award show along with Smashing Pumpkins, Veruca Salt and some others. This info was given to me by a local radio station. I asked Gabe if it was true and he said "there is some kind of awards show going on, and I think they are up for a few awards. So yeah, I guess it is partially true". I don't exactly know what parts are true because Gabe didn't specify.

12/28/97- Here is some info on how and what Scott is doing with Triple Fast Action and plans for the new album. Tim, who runs his own TFA page spoke to Scott at a recent TFA show and this is what he told Tim.......

-he's just enjoying hanging out with TFA right now
-Local H is playing New Year's in Chicago with TFA, Louise Post from Veruca Salt is probably gonna take Scott's place that night in TFA. He'll probably keep touring with TFA for a little while after that.
-Local H has a Christmas song (Have yourself a merry little xmas) some stations are playing. The last CD is still getting a lot of airplay to. Scott said 'yea, we're really lucky'
-He has about 10 songs written for a new record, but no timetable for when they might go back to the studio.

Tim said that he will have some pictures of Scott with TFA on his page soon so just go my "links" section and follow the link to his page.
Thanks Tim!!!

12/18/97- Jill Tomlinson mailed out all of the free promo stuff to those who e-mailed her a while back. In the packages she sent out, there was a letter that said that this mailing list will pay off next year when Local H releases their new album. You will be the first to receive info about it and will probably get to hear some of it before anyone else. You'll also get tour dates, photos, more stickers and other cool stuff. I think you are still allowed to e-mail her to ask for stuff if you didn't already send her you address. But don't e-mail to her ask her to give you something that you did not get in your free promo package that she sent you.

12/6/97- Gabe confirmed that Scott IS playing with Triple Fast Action, but I don't know for how long. Gabe said that nothing is lined up for Local H in the next few months as far as tours, TV shows or anything like that except for the New Years Eve show. He also said that Scott and Joe will finish writing the rest of the new songs and begin practicing again for the new album very soon.

11/26/97- Scott in TFA?- Rumor has it that Scott Lucas is now playing guitar for Triple Fast Action. It isn't said to be permanent though, so don't worry.

11/10/97- Info on the Halloween show- Gabe said that "there were cameras there. But I don't know if (the show) will be cybercasted. It was supposed to be".

11/1/97- Halloween show- Last night at Local H's Halloween show, they dressed up as Nirvana. The set consisted of only Nirvana songs. The setlist was as follows ...School, Aneurysm, About a girl, Serve the Servants, Sliver, Been A Son, Negative Creep, Rape Me, Tourettes, Lithium, Smells Like Teen Spirit and Territorial Pissings.
