I woke one night to hear a sound
it was the sweetest harmony
the meaning I couldnt understand
and so it meant little to me

I saw the girl who made the song
she sang her golden voice for free
the song was always in my ear
and got stuck in my memory

	Two eyes meet
	two smiles greet
	but hearts are shadowed

The girl was of a special type
it seemed she sang helplessly
and I cant help but think
that when she sang, she smiled at me

She sang and I didnt notice
down her cheek a tear did flee
the drop turned into a grave
and now she rests eternally

	[chorus]

	[solo]

At first I didnt understand
but now that its too late I see
that when she played her golden voice
she sang her song alone for me

When she died her song lived on
and finally was her spirit free
but I shall be a prisoner
forever in her melody

	[chorus]

I will never find rest
I shall never be free
her song will always play in me
