Well, I called the guy the moment I saw on the Sony site about being one of the first one hundred calls wil be eligable to win tickets. So, I call the guy and he likes well there's one catch. It's that you have to be 18 or older. So, I told him that I was only 15 but soon to be 16 and he told me that he would see what he could do for me and then call me back. So, I wait all day Tuesday for him to call me back and he never did so I basically figured I wouldn't be seeing them. Then Wednesday morning he calls me and asks if I still wanted to go and if I go who would I be talking. So, I told him I would be talking my dad and a friend and he's like - Okay, come on down! - He told us to be at Sony Studio's around 5:00-5:30pm and to ask for Kevin. I call my dad and my friend and we
catch the train at 2:52pm. We arrive down in the city around 4:30pm and start walking to the studio's. We had NO idea how far this place was from the train station so we figured we'd walk. So, were walking and like 15 minutes later it starts POURING down rain!! Like, REALLY POUR!!! My dad had an unmbrella but I didn't get much protection and my friend wanted to get wet! I ended getting SOAKED!!!!! Completely!! So, while it's raining we realize that we still have like forever to walk but of course the cabs are all filled! So, for like another 15 minutes it pours and when it stops we still wanna get a cab but the street that the studio is on the road is going the other way!! I look HORRIBLE and I'm soaked!! So, we finally get there, get our tickets and wait and wait in line with about 20 people ahead of us. Now, they were SUPPOSE to let us in at 6:00pm but NO! They wait until 7:10pm!! Gosh! There was a whole bunch of VIP people that got to go in first and got upclose. The line was pretty big. There was like 100 people behind us or something!! So, we start going in and the people stick you with your group of people in seats and I got 5th row back but I was still on the main floor. Of course I wanted closer but all those VIP people got them. Then some dude comes out and tries to warm us up and all. He wasn't very funny in my opinion. I was still pissed cause of the rain and I felt disgusing. There was this girl that was named Amanada that was like "AHHHH bring out Savage Garden" while that dude was up there and it was BEYOND annoying!! She found her self SO amusing and she was like some little 10 year old Hanson fan!! God!! We wait a bit more and then there like here's Savage Garden! The band comes out including Daniel and then Darren comes out. They start right away with Tears Of Pearls and run it right into LoveCanMoveYou. They had quite a bit of energy just like how you Aussie's describe what the actual concert is like but a little less. As for me it was like the music took control of me!! They came out I was SOOOOO HAPPY with this HUGE smile on my face and I started bobbing my head along with the music, tapping my foot to the beat, a HUGE smile on my face and I would lip along with the words every once in a while! It was SO odd!! There was like me having a great time that Amanada girl just keep screaming and like 4 other people that actually seemed ALIVE! Everyone else just sat there!! During Tears Of Pearls and LoveCanMoveYou Darren was pay a LOT of attention to that Amanada girl but after that he hardly ever looked over there!! They also did that song "One Of Us" by some girl. It was alright but still they were playing it so you gotta love it!! They also did To The Moon & Back, Santa Monica, Mine, Break Me Shake Me, Truly Madly Deeply, and I Want You. During Mine I was
the only one there that knew it!!! Even that Amanda stopped moving for a bit there!! And I was lipping along!! They saved Break Me Shake Me, Truly Madly Deeply and I Want You for last. The people really started to get into Break Me Shake Me and you know that really cool part like he did for the Aussie tour some time with Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit"? Well, he did that for this as well! EVERYONE knew Truly Madly Deeply but what really pissed me off was this girl behind me at the end you know how they stop before they say me? Well, this girl is thinking they don't know the words or something and she yell's out ME! Argh! Sorry, but they gggggrrrrrrr me!!!! And for I Want You everyone got into that as well! They did the chica-cherry part where we get to say it and he also introduced the band during it! During most of the concert as well Daniel and Darren kept looking at me!! It was great!! I think they realized what a great time I was having and that I must be a HUGE fan!! Darren would stop right in front of by where I was sitting and he'd look over at me!! And Daniel looked over at me quite a few times as well!! They knew what a great time I was having!!! It was WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't get to meet them or anything because they went out some other door and we also wanted to get something to eat. The concert was about an hour long and *ABSOULETLY* AMAZING!!!! It's going to be aired on VH1 on July 17 along with Natalie Imbruglia and Third Eye Blind.
