Pleasant Valley Sunday (Part 4)

I awoke later that evening to Peter gently nudging me to awake me. I looked up. Peter was smiling as he looked into my eyes. "Time for the concert, Mary."
"Oh, okay, Peter. I'll be right there," I replied.
Peter smiled, got up, and walked out the room. I changed back into my tee-shirt, vest, jeans, and boots and walked out into the living room.
Mike was busy combing his hair, Davy was adjusting his tie, Micky was packing up all the instruments, and Peter was putting on his boots. "Howdy Mary, ya sleep good?" asked Mike.
"Yeah," I replied.
"So, is everyone ready?" asked Micky.
"Yep, I am," replied Peter, Mike, and Davy.
Mike, Davy, and Micky carried out the instruments out to a shiny red convertable with the logo "The Monkees" on it.Peter held my hand and led me down to the car. Micky drove, Mike sat beside him, Davy back of him, and Peter and I in the very back seat.We arrived at a gigantic auditorium. Peter took me inside to and told me to sit down and they would be on stage shortly. I had a front row "RESERVED" seat. Wow. The auditorium soon filled with thousands of people. Then onto the stage leaped Peter, Mike, Micky, and Davy. Mike did a guitar riff, Davy strummed on his guitar, Peter played his bass and Micky crashed down on the drums as they started a song called "Pleasant Valley Sunday". Micky sang the lead while the others did background vocals. As the song crazily swirled to a stop everyone cheered. I found myself leaping into the air and screaming with joy. At first I was embarassed, but then I noticed that every other girl in that auditorium was doing the same. They performed many songs..."Valleri"..."Mary, Mary"...."Randy Scouse Git"..."Auntie Grizelda"....."Daydream Believer"....and others. Then Peter ran of stage and grabbed me. We were rushed into a limo and the crowd wildly chased after us. Soon the limo was smothered with crazy fans trying to get inside. I was frightened. Then it happened. I screamed as the glass flew everywhere.......
