So what the hell is Stunts? Chances are you haven't heard of it. Well it's an old favourite of mine. It's been around for years. What you do is drive a car around a stunts track. Wow. Doesn't that sound amazing! You can choose from a whole bunch of nice cars to drive. But what makes this game so amazing is that you get to create your own tracks! And then try to beat your friends best time. Because this game is virtually unknown, and about 8 or 9 years old, I think it's ok if you download it and try it out. Included are a bunch of tracks me and my friends have created.
The graphics I must admit are pretty bad. But when it came out, it was the best graphics around. The sound of the car may be annoying, but it helps in determining how fast to turn. It is incredibly easy to play, the only keys needed are the four arrow keys, so any fool can play along. Since you make your own tracks, you can either make really simple tracks with not many stunts, or make incredibly challenging tracks which are virtually impossible to complete (he he). It is possible to spend hours at a time trying to finish a stupid track. It is quite simple to die in this game. You are only allowed one crash (just like real life) or one scrape against a wall.
There are a bunch of different cars, but the only one that makes sense to drive is the Indy. Some cars don't have enough speed to go over jumps. It's also fun to play against opponents like Squealin' Bernie Rubber because they are so bad. You can also save replays of your most fantastic crashes. Somehow the cars can get thrown 500 meters into the air. There are a few different views of the car, but the only one worth driving in is the first-person perspective.
Since this game is rather old, there are no multiplayer options, but then it will run on virtually every computer- even 286's if you remember those pieces of machinery.
