Brad Delp

Bradley E. Delp is the man with the golden voice, who sang all vocals (lead and hamony/backup) on the first three BOSTON albums. Before Brad joined BOSTON he was working in a manufacturing plant (making heating coils for Mr. Coffee machines) while singing in various Boston-area clubs at night. After former band-member Barry Goudreau brought Brad to the attention of Tom Scholz, Brad began singing on Tom's demo tapes. His indelible voice ultimately became an integral part of the BOSTON sound.

While BOSTON was on hiatus in the early 80's, Brad found the time to sing on Barry Goudreau's 1980 solo album, the Orion the Hunter album (to which he contributed writing), and a track on Keith Emerson's Best Revenge soundtrack. Brad quit BOSTON in 1989/90 to form RTZ with Barry Goudreau, but he returned in late 1994. Brad has spent much of his spare time from 1994-1997 playing in a side band, called Beatle Juice (a Beatles tribute group). Coincidentally, he cites the Beatles as his biggest musical influence.

Brad's voice can be heard on a new song featured on the impending fifth BOSTON album (the Greatest Hits release).
