ALBARN JOINS BUSH FIRE

Damon Albarn has joined the campaign to persuade the USA to back down on their opposition of the crucial Kyoto climate change treaty.
The Blur frontman is reported to have backed Labour MP Nigel Griffiths, who is putting pressure on the American government, in the wake of their decision to opt out of the treaty.
New President George W. Bush recently snubbed the campaign, citing American power requirements and economic vitality as more of a concern than the environment.
Albarn told reporters: "I care deeply about the future of our planet and we have to get every country to play a part in cutting greenhouse gasses and other pollution.
"Nigel's campaign deserves everyone's attention," Albarn stated.
Griffiths has thanked Albarn for his support, commenting: "We are delighted to have Damon's support, which shows the widespread appeal of the campaign and reflects the urgency of the cause of global warming."
